2. the 12 post its on my door from my daughter. I have no idea what she has written but she thinks I know. I hope I got it right. I think it is love, play, be and together we are family. But I could be projecting. 3. having a chance to say thank you to someone I should have said it too years ago. it opened the door for us to celebrate what we started together long ago and leave space to each have in our own separate ways now. my daughter is lucky to have her mamma bear. 4. Yellow flat sheet on clearance at target. If I want to pretty up/ cover up my canning jars in the bedroom I can. yellow wasn't quiet the perfect decorating color for the current bedding set on the bed. But it is the color of I think of when canning with friends. Who I miss dearly and am blessed by. 5. Hips. |

My sparkly newly clean bathroom....who knew pumice stone would remove bad iron stains? .... sitting on my porch today after work, enjoying the quiet .... using my dryer and hearing how good it runs (a steal for $65!)...Ryobi making me smile after a tough day....and cranberry salad with sugar free whipped topping!..... friends having faith in me when I can't find it....being valued ..being independent....picking pecans up from my own yard and not having to pay $11.99 per pound... a neighbor's generosity today.....hearing stories of the fish they used to pull out of my pond and looking forward to my first chance to fish that pond... enjoying the cool night air while walking the dog. ... and reflecting on how good it feels to come into my own as a fierce femme.

a lot more than 5 today...
An almost new, large air conditioner for only $30 (with remote).... a VERY nice, dark wood, beautiful day bed frame with extra trundle bed that raises up to the same height as the day bed (the day bed looks like a mission oak sleigh bed) for $20 (now I have nice beds for my nieces when they visit this year!).... a set of 3 extra nice Tupperware cake boxes for $5.00.....3 cute birdie houses for $4.00.... a NICE, large solid wood rack for my laundry room for $4.00 (YAYYYY!! now I don't need to build one!)... a great friend that helped me lug everything home AND helped me unload truck.... having an AWESOME day at work when I made Outreach to several Office Managers of child care facilities that need my help....getting two WONDERFUL compliments from coworkers today that MADE MY DAY!!...going to dinner and seeing a good friend, feeling her cheerfulness, listening to her good news and enjoying her friendship.... enjoying a fun afternoon collecting things I need for the house ( HAPPY to mark air conditioner off list!!) .... TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! !..... I get to work from home next Monday! ....FINALLY getting to relax after a very long day!!... (can't you tell I've been hyped up all day! !)

I made a new friend today:)
I got an appt. with a Neurologist in two weeks instead of the usual 3 months. (Helps to have connections) I made a decision and I am sticking to it. It feels real good. I woke up alive this morning LOL. My daughter won tickets AGAIN on the radio using my lucky cell phone, YAY!!!! |

- a free showing at Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant at the library tonight (very good movie, BTW) - a walnut apple pastry - hair appointment on Saturday - nachos and beer with friends tomorrow night |
Five Or More Good Things:
1. The medical team that provided my care during open heart surgery was outstanding. Life becomes quite different when one is totally dependent on others.
2. Really good people - friends and family - appear when one needs them the most. 3. Life changing events - I have discovered - need to be explored...it provides the catalyst for remembering the positive and acknowledging it to the people in our lives and to the entire Universe. 4. Prayer continues to sustain me. 5. The love, compassion, and care extended from you here on the planet has been a great healer for me. Even in the darkest nights in a strange, sterile intensive care unit room...I could feel the rush of peace, prayer and unconditional love that surpassed my understanding. |
