What made me smile today...
While on my lunchbreak, I passed an older gentleman riding his bicycle, and noticed a little carriage that was attached at the back. After a closer look, I saw his cute little puppy dog stick his nose out :) |
Found out I've gone down 3 pant sizes since winter after trying on shorts and some old jeans today....BIG smile here.

I was bitching about it to my love when she said something that struck me as truth.. (Paraphrased) He is your dad.. He is always going to see you as his lil girl.. He is always going to try to teach you.. He is always going to have to be the *Boss* and you be the *helper* So.. we are now doing it my dad's way.. and it's taking twice as long.. BUT... I got to thinking.... My dad is around to frustrate me, to crank me out, to slow me down... And I am grateful for it.. |

After court today, I'm almost 100% legal
That makes three days of dealing with bureaucratic offices, officers, waiting, and paying After court, I went and bought all kinds of plants for our yard...including a lemon eucalyptus tree that smells absolutely incredible. A brand-new, Texas-sized cat box full of 80 lbs of cat litter for The Queen of The House Finding an unopened bag of cookies in the car while I was driving around Introducing Princess Kitty to her very own catnip plant Fire Pit Night is coming soon thanks to all of the trimmed trees A surprise for Mahhh Woman The flowering nicotine is getting ready to explode, and I just can't wait Mahhh Woman bein' all Texas-sassy...All Texas All The Time She's Awesome, Dylan |

What made me smile today: I turned on the computer and came here to post. Much to my suprise I found a very sweet letter. Thanking me for my posts and saying I had touched that person. You just never know what will matter. "Gotta Love The Ripple Efftect!" A reminder yet again to never take anything for granted. Going over to my friends' house. They are so cute. They have been together for a few years now, and moved into a new house. I got my dining room set from them last weekend, and being a bachelor I dont have much kitchen stuff since I eat out alot. I was given whatever they had two of.. So pots and pans, Iced Tea Maker, Food Processor, Mixer, and an insulated lunch bag to start taking my lunches in.
Im so grateful for the things they just gave me. One of them was laid off a few months after they started dating and found a job makes 4xs less than what she was used too, and recently had an interview to put her back in the type of position she was in... They just got their new house. Watching at how much in love they are is just so refreshing. I love seeing couples who compliment each other. |

Buying enough pizza, wings, and cheese sticks to last all weekend, so I don't have to cook at all while Mahhh Woman is outta town

Enjoying Mom's company today at lunch, and seeing her eyes light up when I handed her Easter flowers. She was so thrilled at what I picked out! Really made my day!
While we were at the diner... I stepped away to go look at the homemade desserts in the glass cooler... when I got back, she had this silly look and smile. She put her napkin up to her face and whispered "That guy said you have really pretty curls."... I said "what guy?"... she said "the OLD one sitting over there...STOP, don't look around! I told him 'ya know how it is, when they have curly hair they hate it, when they have straight hair they hate it." and she gave this really goofy look that made her eyes light up. She is SUCH A GOOF!! She hates it when I straighten my curls. When she lost her hair from the chemo, I promised her I would cut all mine off and have "Locks of Love" make her a wig. She made this "sour-puss" look and said "no, I can't have you doing that, it's taken you YEARS to grow it so long."... instead, we went hat shopping and she picked out a BUNCH of goofy hats, fluffy hats, handmade hats, classy hats, and EAR warmers. That whole day, after crying together about loosing her hair, we really had a great time together trying on and picking out her favorite hats. My Mom in all her Goofiness made me smile!! |
