I was at a medical conference today on Health Disparities.
It was such fun to email with a Femme friend during it--made me smile ia inappropriate times! I'm sure the lecturer thought I was an idiot! |
72 degrees...sun blaring...slight humidity...outside getting some work done and soaking up this gorgeous day with a nice glass of cucumber water PURE BLISS

Thought I was putting down my ferret this afternoon, but the vet suggested we try a deslorelin implant to alleviate his adrenal symptoms. So, we did. We will see how it goes. I'm glad he is coming home :)

My new boots just came and they are sexy! I now hope the weather gets chilly again so I don't have to wait til next season to wear them

Making my sister laugh tonight until she cried, more than once, on her birthday.Getting her favorite coffee and making her a whole French press full before I went to work. Getting to tell her happy birthday and tell her that I love her. And her giving me a kiss on the cheek and a " muah" she said. I didn't see her on her birthday last year. I am very grateful for her and for who she is. I am lucky that she is my sister.

Joy and smiles. The drive home,my little country road outside the hustle of the big city. Seeing deer and horses. Passing the little grey moss inn. Watching the volunteers shine the big red engine. Thinking how soon the hills will be covered in wild flowers. And best part, the change of time next week end. Soon the trees will be filled in with new green. It's so relaxing, that road.

Realizing just how blessed I am to have three awesome young-adult kids who are so willing to share their lives with me.
daughter #2: mom I got a new piercing me; oh yeh? where? daughter #2: *looks down and giggles* :giggle: me: wow! nervie little thing you are! :eyebrow: daughter #2: I told my sis... and she had something smart-assed to say about it. till I reminded her of preparing to be a shot-girl dancer soon... both: ahahahaaaaaaa :pointing: LOL so glad thier older brother still acts all innoscent with his "MMMRRRAAAWWWWRRRR dinasour love" texts to me!! ;) |

If felt good to love on my kitchen today.
It was a gorgeous sunny breezy day so I opened all the windows, tied up the curtains and aired out the kitchen and dining room I cleaned the cupboards, lemon and salted my cutting board. sharpened my knives, seasoned some new cast iron, gave my pantry a good clean and arrange. Dinner is in the oven, meatloaf, baked sweet potatoes, cauliflower with Parmesan, for dessert really tart lemon ice with dark as night chocolate and tiny sweet strawberries. I love and am filled with contentment in my little house in my kitchen. I am so grateful that I am in a place in my life where this comes to me with an ease I have never experienced before. I am thankful for this moment, right now |

Getting lost with my sister and my daughter looking for and then finding the most AMazing Vietnamese food in NJ ! Omg Feeling so peaceful and Happy ! Realizing broken hearts really do start to heal it's just a very slow process ! |
Seeing that sparkle in her eyes, once again. She has been very ill for almost two weeks; it has been a long, rough haul for all of us, and it feels like the sun finally came out.

An afternoon joyride in my convertible with the sun shining on my face, the wind in my [now crazy!] hair, and great music playing on my iPod followed by a stunning tangerine sunset in the evening! It was absolutely gorgeous outside today; who can ask for anything more than that?

Visiting my Abuelita and redecorating her room and bathroom :) it was so nice to see her smile so much

No only being able to watch my Baby work, but get to have a two way interactions while she did so. It was not nearly enough time on Skype with her, because I had to get ready for my work week, but it was certainly a welcome treat!
