On my way home this morning...
Seeing a sweet little doe lazily crossing a side street...I turned around to make sure she wasn't injured in some way..and she was just meandering down a fire road...she turned to look at me when I stopped...and her ears were tall and perky...I could see her pondering whether or not to high tail it... she stayed and I left her be...just happy to admire her from afar.. :) simple joys....

Today is the day before a long weekend of pool tournaments witch starts tomorrow night and will run till all of them are over this will go on for the next two weeks mostly over the long weekend.So I did a fair reasonable workout to just use my body, work up a good sweat,get the heart rate going good plus some hoops to work on my hand eye cordanation thena lot of plain old stretches a couple of times a day.Tomorrow (today as it's 12:20a.m.) i'm just going to do more hoops,do more stretching catch a bit of reast in the mid afternoon and all will be ready.Sounds like a plan to me.

After a tumultuous year and a half, my daughter managed to at least pass all her classes and today officially became a sophomore in high school. To tell you the truth, as late as March I was fully expecting summer school. Plus, my son has been approved for AP math and the Gifted and Talented course next year. I can't believe it.

i am filled with joy when i know SHE is coming home and i wait at the door for her to walk in. This is when joy for me is complete.

me neighbour's youngest, marcos, comin' runnin' out o' his house as i returned from grocery shoppin', offerin' to help me carry things up to me flat. and then givin' me a big ole hug befo' leavin' out, askin' when can we make pizza again. *le sigh*

A strong hug, brighter days ahead, new resolve to work on a happy healthy home for both of us. Time with the pups... Peppa "stoned" on a benadryl just staring at me instead of whining lol... Maybe this should be a daily occurence.. evil grin...

Spending time with Mom. Doing some of the things she enjoys. Had a picnic, she was in good spirits today. That makes me happy.

My girl always knowing just when to call me. I'm back in Oregon packing up my house and studio to move to Colorado. I've been packing since Friday and just when I run out of steam she always seems to know. My phone will ring and I hear my little girls voice and I'm ready to get back to packing so I can get home to my girl.

I saw 2 deer today. I sat really still in the grass and watched them eat leaves and run across the trail down to the creek to drink.

a frisky baby squirrel exploring its new surroundings... several young deer... finding new exciting ideas for projects ... a special gift from a friend of a very unique antique item so I can forward it to another friend and knowing how much it will tickle her fancy .. "cow tails "... ice cream! ... laughter ... memories .... tomato and pepper plants ... 12 very healthy happy half grown chickens ... dreaming and being told I have "very fancy ideas"... a baby flying squirrel ... admiring a friend's picture and thinking "certainly swoonable"...heartthrob indeed ... very healthy squash plants that I haven't killed yet... a beautiful weekend after the storms ... Alpaca poop... yeah! I said Alpaca poop brought me joy! because it will make my garden very healthy and productive and pretty! ! I can't wait to get more beans planted! ! |
Watching swallows dancing in the air together while we were in Maine...those little birds really seem to enjoy flying :)

The weather will never bore me. Coming from a land of smog and blue skies, I'm in love with clouds. How quick the weather can change on a dime here in my new adventure land. Not only the weather, but the sights I see. Yesterday I was warned of a big dark cloud heading my way. I was indoors shopping and had no idea. Came out to see a gigantic dark cloud covering the sky. It was creepy yet intriguing. I still choose to drive my regular country road home, even though there are several low water crossings. The storm just got here, how bad can it get that fast? It was a white knuckle, thrilling, heart pounding exciting ride home. I went thru many puddles. The wipers where going at their fastest speed. It took me all of 15 min to drive thru a raging storm. Which as exciting as it was, was just enough time! As I drove thru the lowest parts of that country road, the storm was easing up, I was driving away from the thunder and lightening. That was the first time, I got to drive thru a storm in my car, not as a passenger! I was smiling on the outside! Later that night as I was feeding my friends, the deer, I saw a fire fly! |
I was given 5 days off of work for Pride this year!!!!!!!!! Let's party it up!

whangamata holiday...
georgeous day! went on a couple o' wee tramps. 1st was to opoutere beach. you tramp through da forest and it then spills out onto da beach. a stunnin' as beach, to boot. 2nd was a bush walk at wentworth valley nature trails. took da short walk, but it was lovely, too. nothin' but da sound o' birds and water falls.

nostalgia
An old friend from my college days was in town for a meeting. We met up for dinner and drinks tonight. She hasn't changed one bit. As soon as we saw each other it was like no time had passed. We talked and laughed and caught each other up to date. I want to use the term kindred spirits.

What brings me joy today is that I've got three and half hours left to my 12 hr shift and tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of my 12 hr by 12 day shift meaning I have all weekend off and back to work Monday night to do it all over again! :/
