Putting things in my suitcase... a little at a time as I do the laundry.

My dream this afternoon: I was at the park near my childhood home and sitting at the picnic table, only it had been moved to the opposite side of the park. I bother to mention this because I'm sure it means something.

In the meantime, I had taken off 2 necklaces, one which was mine and one was a friend's I was wearing. And, my beloved Bulova watch. I had them all laid out nice on the picnic table. Who knows why but I'm sure there was a reason.

Along came a large animal. It was bear or a tiger or something and it would sort of nudge me around the picnic table until I got angry and took a stick and poked at its face. I guess it got angry back at me and then it ate my jewelry. Just then some neighbor kids came by and I asked to use their cell phone to call the police. I reported the tiger or bear for eating my jewelry. lol

Then, I took a peek under the picnic table and it had spit my jewelry back out in the dirt so I grabbed it all triumphant. I called the police back to cancel my complaint.

Screw Rorschach. It has nothing over dream interpretation.

Today was a day of great fun. I actually went to an event in a bar in New York. It was for Senior Action in A Gay Environment (SAGE) and the women were all around 40 +. It was a blast, the music and spinning was fantastic, I met old and new friends and danced until I couldn't move my legs. It was a first step and although I would have liked to have "met" someone the exercise of going and having fun was what I wanted. I did find a friend there who has been flirting with me on fb on and off since the summer and did some flirting back.

OMG! I thought I had 10 months left of school today. My advisor called and I will be finished in August, minus any vacation time. That's 6 months or so. Yay!!!

I'll be styling in a new vehicle this autumn!

Going out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant with my girl (f), one we have been to before and enjoyed ( her treat :) ) then checking out rings..... :| ..... then coffee and a treat......oh and pick up a guitar strap

Getting a text from my son telling me what he got on his final report card :thumbsup:

I need to make a little amendment here to my original post.

We actually have, amongst our 4 new frogs, two VERY big girls (Bella and Maddie) and two little fellows (Simon and Alvin)!! We thought little "Tuti" was a little girl, but we were very mistaken!!! For two nights running now, L and I have been serenaded by both Simon and little Alvin. Simon has a VERY loud baritone voice and little Alvin has a wonderful little tenor honk!!! We couldn't be happier and now Dolly has 2 boys to sing to her. Of course, Miss Bella and Miss Maddie enjoy listening to the boys, too. What a wonderful little family of frogs we have now!!! :heartbeat::winky:

I got to make His lunch for work tonight. I loved doing it... I can't stop smiling.

W/we had company tonight. W/we talked about old times and it was fun. W/we have known these women for almost forty years. i remembered things i had long forgotten. i can't recall what the hell we had for dinner but i remember some of the pride parades we walked in the 70's.
W/we met them in college it was a university and had great times. W/we even burned our bras together.
i was so happy i cried like a baby. God i'm getting old. LOL

The feeling of sunshine dancing on my skin...

Meeting up with friends and hiking through the county park. To think I almost didn't go because I have the dreaded lurgy and was feeling rather sorry for myself. It turns out it was exactly what I needed! Who knew.

I am exhausted. I won't require rocking tonight.

I just realized I get to spend the whole day in the safe haven of my best friend's home surrounded by her love and respect....no one screaming at me and no one stressing me out to the point of cripling pain...Im surrounded by peace and love...the sun is showing promise for melting the snow and my cold feelings. I'm happy and content. This could lead to a fun day!

I went to bed holding my new teddy bear, and woke up in Daddy's bed. Smelling Him, knowing in a few short hours He would be joining me here.... what JOY!

My very first LONG distance smooooth comfortable train ride ....through my gorgeous home state of Virginia....I'm as excited as a lil girl on her first big adventure !!! I love this feeling and am so happy for the opportunity.

My Miracle ...to glow with joy because a true miracle has blessed my life...to beam with pride and joy because I have found I really do want to live for the future instead of letting my health beast me down to deep dispare..to fill my heart pound with joy to know everything will work out.

Spending the day with my 2 favorite little mini me's.. Bingo tonight the weekend is starting out to be a good one..

We went to a fundraiser walk. The girls got kitty faces at the face painting station. It was a beautiful day to get out.

Sitting in a cafe practicing this brought great joy to me and not a few smiles and random conversations from others :cheesy:

being woken early this morning by a certain playful, sexy HAWT someone and getting to spend a delightfully enticing, toe curling, happy, incredibly intense hour with them before they had to leave for work. Dayummmm!!

the only sad part was it was all by phone...for now.

Got a little gizmo utility software app I began coding about a week or so ago running correctly this morning.
I was pulled to something else and could not get back to it until today. Stroll in the park!

How I love a good gadgie! Wiring up one of these is a fav - a for real "it does it for me" activity.

She told me she bought us two tickets for a show the week we will be in Vegas. Elton John at Caesars Palace in his amazing show, “The Million Dollar Piano.”

Homemade dinner of meatloaf, potato salad, and pineapple upside down cake with Pops, Jackhammer, and Pappy. Yahtzee ( I got my ass whipped again!)

Haircuts for all three of them.

My kitchen is destroyed and there is hair everywhere.

It is sleeting outside.

Jack and Gracie are snoring next to me in bed.

My knees are screaming but I feel so happy, so softly joyful, so content.

Home really is where the heart is. <3

Laid-back Sundays!
 

Early morning zazen throughout which an owl hooted softly in the background. It was like music for my soul; just intoxicating.

The subsequent drive home; top down, whilst soaking in the radiant warmth and light of the Florida sunshine as well as being able to deeply feel the nourishment of Vitamin D it provides.

Owning a vehicle with a manual transmission because when I operate it, I feel "at one" with the entire driving experience. That, to me, makes all of my travels - even the dreaded commute to and from work - incredibly relaxing and enjoyable.

An easy, late afternoon stroll to the coffeehouse for some spicy Chai tea as well as the time to truly savor it. :tea:

No obligations; just being able to really "be" where I was today with no intrusive thoughts or worries about where I was headed next.

The short ride I've decided to take in approximately 15 minutes so I can sit beside the ocean for an hour or so.

And finally, at the close of the evening I will derive joy from climbing into a freshly made bed piled high with crisp, white linens. It's warm out now, but not hot, and so I like to open my bedroom windows, slip out of my clothes; and, draped in only the top and bottom sheets, let the cool, gentle breeze lull me to sleep.

Life is good!

She brought me joy today. As she does everyday. The weather sucked, I was working on my day off & yet in the middle of all that I hear her voice. Her laughter. She shares "family" with me & it makes me both happy & very proud.
