:candle: I light a candle of thanksgiving. I did so go with my sister to her doctor's appointment. The doc was gracious, her English was pretty good, and we were able to communicate well despite the in-law's sulking absence. As it turns out, it was good that I went. I asked some questions re what was going on about my sister's heart irregularity, and why she was no longer on anticoagulants/blood thinner. The oncologist did not know about this at all. She gently admonished my sister for not telling her ... and I realized that each specialty has their own medical record, and they are not shared! Dumbstruck! The doc asked if I was going to the cardiology appointment scheduled for the 13th, and unfortunately, I will not. But will leave a note for my sister to take there because I learned that she IS taking blood thinner because of the possibility of clotting from her chemo. Yesterday was my sister's birthday! The doc noticed and wished her happy b'day and asked what she was getting for her day. My sister, always the "straight man", looked up and said, "chemo." :rofl: Hopefully, I can shorten the mantra that I've been saying, "I will not kill __" over and over. It was trying, but in the end, at dinner with champagne, grilled shrimp and other delicious fare, we ALL had a good time. So filled with gratitude ... you just can't know ... thank you for the light and the prayers. |

Today, I light a candle for the wildlife affected by this heinous oil spill.....for the marshlands which may never recover.....for those whose livelyhoods are from the sea....and for those involved in the clean~up of this mess.....and yes, even for the BP powers that be, that they may wake up and fix this.....
I also light a candle for SD and her Syr....for peace..... A candle is lit, too, for Lady Pamela.....for Nat.....for my daughter......for Coti.....and for Mrs. Walls and Mrs. Cavendish to be convinced that I'm the one for the job! :praying: |

I am lighting a candle for a dear friend's father. He was placed in Hospice care on Friday and is declining fast. I talked to my friend yesterday and Hospice told them it would probably either be last night or today.
He has been surrounded by his loved ones, in good spirits & hasn't been in too much pain ~ which is a blessing in itself. I pray that his journey is a peaceful one and that his family has comfort & peace during this time. He lost his wife last year, so I know that she will be waiting for him with open arms. :candle: :praying: :candle: |

I am putting a little energy out there for myself and asking for those who are willing to help to do the same. I need this for health in all areas..mentally, physically emotionally I need this also to regain financially from my wheelchair moment. I need it for strength to keep on keepin on when I hurt. Let me explain a lil... I have Orthoststic Hypertention and recurrent Syncope...Also Fibromyaligia These are my main issues which set other things off sometimes. I just need a lil added boost right now to keep movin...smiles I am so not complaining...Just have had one to many falls the past month and I am trying very hard to get up and be me...I do pretty well but I think the wheelchair broke down my body a little so working to regain that. I may end up offline for a bit but if I do..Please continue a candle for me ...Spirit Dancer has been so kind to come to me and ask if I needed anything...Your such a selfless spiritual being..Thank you btw! And thank you to everyone else as well...Have a beautiful day! Also, everyone have fun this weekend....Be safe! |
I am lighting a candle today for those who are struggling with mental health issues. There is a website called Bring Change 2 Mind. It was started by Ron Howard as a director. It is wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. They do psa's, and did a host of them in DC at the train station. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend. Peace, Drew |
