Also...lamenting not getting a house phone since I'm paying for it...my cell phone shit the bed and it would be nice to have SOME means of contact with the outside world....

I was watching a video on CNN news of a police officer being interviewed. He described holding a toddler and singing a lullaby to her after she was pulled out of a deadly car crash. No, you won't hear him sing, only the interview. Must say, very touching! If interested, link is below.

Drinking french pressed coffee, craving a cigarette, and trying to motivate to get my ass out of bed, get dressed, and get to work.

working lunch while one of my users is gone to lunch ... need to remote onto his work station, see if I can determine why he cannot bring up our software ... probably have to go over to the main building this afternoon and uninstall, then reinstall the system for him ...sometimes I think they monkey around with things they know nothing about and should not be snooping in ... 2nd time since April this particular user has a hosed up system ... plus, need to check out another guy's work station ...

Drinking a tall glass of green juice and eating a small bowl of cherries while watching Papa Pope damn the Confederate flag on The Nightly Show. My fever broke and I feel human again. Have gotten an appetite and will have some soup in awhile.

Ok so we did just lose 2 out of 3 to the Phillies at Yankee Stadium. :|

But we won today!

Not dissing em, cuz my mom loves the Yankees and I like the Astros and SF Giants. Astros are first in their section of the AL League so I ain't worried.

Ah cool! I still can't wrap my brain around the Astros being in the American League. I like them and Giants too.

trying to sew a button on a fav pair of army green cargo pants ... I need some elbow and knee pads, plus a helmet ... only stabbed the blood out of 2 fingers .... might I add, "so far"

I have a stainless steel thimble (someone told me to get one of those) ... though I think I need 9 more ... this is dangerous business and should probably, in my case, be left to the professionals ... it never turns out swell for my fingers

Listening to music, texting, watching the kitties play on their tree alternatively while the other lays in the sun on the windowsill. I've put away some laundry, with the goal to put it all away and then go wash the dirty laundry.. and then MAYBE putting that away. Gaming all day and a shower somewhere is in my plans for the next 7 hours.

Been working on one of three papers due this weekend. It has been too long since I wrote and am not feeling as solid as I should be right now. My thoughts are scattered...

We're sitting outside in the back yard, watering the plants and flowers in a special garden we've both been working on.

The late evening sky is clear with the exception of a slow moving haze which is filling the sky and banking slowly around the moon.

It was incredibly warm today, with very warm winds.

It is truly a beautiful summer evening. :stillheart:
