My board meeting today brought me so much joy!!

It's amazing how much this group connects. I sit on the board of directors for a local community theater. Once a month we all sit in a room and tease each other mercilessly about anything we can think of as we discuss money, events, and the upcoming shows. We work hard and play harder. People listen to one another, ask questions and respond thoughtfully to one another. I have been involved in other groups over the years and this one really is just the most wonderful to work with.

Listening to the show proposals for next year also brought me joy, made me giddy, thrilled me to no end... the list goes on. I am going to get the opportunity to be involved in amazing thing this next year. Its going to be crazy and my schedule with theater and all my other obligations will be scary... but I am involved in something great, with great people.

What brought me joy today?
 

Waking up next to my husband and our cat, ed this morning.

Having a long talk on the phone with my sister.

And last but the best: my husband coming home from work in less then two hours.
That will give me the most joy today. Yes, mushy, but I don't care!

Making a big ole pot of chicken/veggie stock to freeze.

It's 16f outside and i took the dog out. It was wonderful sitting on the porch allowing him to run in the snow. He looked so happy it gave me joy.

A wonderful lunch with desd and her family they drove down to see how I was doing after the surgery and took us out for lunch. I did proceed to pass out when we got home the pain meds do have that effect on me. Also PT is going well but hurts like fire

my ride to work on the weekends always makes me happy.....today more so than usual....
I drove up one of the big hills and saw the mountains sprawling ahead of me...and the prolific tell~tale pink tinge of budding trees...
birds can come back too soon....but the buds never lie <3

Trying dragon fruit for the first time in my life. :)

I had dragon fruit for the first time over the summer, its amazing!!

I became very excited when I woke up and realized with Daylight Savings Time having kicked in, I will have an extra hour of light ... And this will enable me to get more tasks completed.

Joyous this A.M.! Heh! Heh! It doesn't take much to do it for me. *big grin* It's just I don't like dragging the big lights out of the storage room when it becomes dark outside and I have not completed something I'm working on.

sleeping over my dads last night...getting to see my him first thing this morning ( on his birthday!)...as he was going to church and I was going to work....getting a hug from him that left me still smelling his cologne even now.... <3

Seeing my son all dressed up in the suit coat he found at a rummage sale yesterday.

A new trash can, new vacuum, manwiches, clean sheets and clean laundry

Oh! And Toblerone and chocolate chip cookies from Nanners!

Seeing the smile on Her face and in Her eyes for the simple task of getting the bedroom clean and not going back to my apartment afterwards

going to my swing dancing class... learning new moves... feeling myself getting better and better...

My daughter just told me she is through with her boyfriend who was probably the most distasteful person I ever met. Good for her and she seems ok and not all tortured like she has in the past.

Conversation about her wanting me to put the tip back on something and she says, "I keep track of that!" and I go, "Oh, is that before or after you research fabric softeners, babe?"

My entire day!! From waking moment to "sweet peaceful dreams"...

Plus the added joy of getting to use my grill on an absolutely gorgeous day to make bbq ribs then bring them in to finish slow roasting... while I made sauteed greenbeans and buttered potatoes before my roomie got home after working overtime.

Singing my heart out while driving with the windows down in the warm sun.
