Flipping sore all over, exhausted from moving last batch of boxes around, and hungry!

Mopsie 09-19-2019 05:49 AM

Feeling crappy because I have a migraine.

Feeling grateful that I have a job where I can stay home when I feel crappy.

Feeling hopeful because this is only the third one this month - I think they're getting less often.

Gemme 09-19-2019 02:30 PM

I feel pretty good but am a wee bit tired. This getting up before the sun thing is for the birds.

Bèsame* 09-23-2019 06:21 AM

Feeling pretty klutzy. I kicked the stool in the dressing room. Mind you, not on purpose! I now have a possible broken toe, pretty black and blue, and will be taped together with her sister toes today!

Ouch! I've broken or sprained many a toe (some of them repeatedly) and it will definitely smart for a little while. Here's to a speedy healing!

Bèsame* 09-27-2019 07:32 AM

bittersweet.

It's down to the last 3 days. ( for you shoppers, 75% today, 80% Saturday and 90% Sunday) My store is so empty,
we are echoing when we talk across the store. This process is hard, after all the hard work.
Its stressful to say the least, like a breakup you didnt see coming.

I called the home office yesterday, before it got super crazy this week. I called to my support team to tell her of my appreciation for being there. It was hard, there was tears. I explained how hard it is to watch your store disappear, she shared with me, the eerie feeling of walking around with empty cubicles.

Yes, bittersweet. Bitter that this even happened,
yet sweet, it's almost over.

MrSunshine 09-27-2019 12:05 PM

Exhausted! Yard work, grilling and cleaning oh my. This heat is stupid!

GeorgiaMa'am 09-27-2019 05:20 PM

Relieved this week is over, and ready to get on to the business of sleeping.

RebelDyke 09-27-2019 07:09 PM

completely and totally excited!!! big storm is rolling thru, and while it can be so destructive, it is also exciting and comforting.

For any one who really knows me know my reasons why i love a good storm!

Kätzchen 09-27-2019 09:46 PM

…. Serene: Contentment, joy and peace fill my life tonight.

Orema 09-28-2019 08:10 AM

New day, new way, and all that jazz.

I'm back in the office.

This is usually the time of year our department starts to wind down. Not this year, we have some legal issues with which we must comply and we'll be on full blast for the rest of the year.

I'm feeling okay but I'd be much better if I was in Hawaii and on the beach with a good book and one of those drinks with an umbrella in it.

RockOn 09-28-2019 10:53 AM

Feeling great - both physically and mentally! :)

Gemme 09-28-2019 07:23 PM

Annoyed. I have a fever and have had a sore throat all day. I'm fighting it with immunity boosters, hydration and (mostly) good food. If I find the person that gave me these cooties, I'mma gonna beat 'em.

Gemme, you didn't get your cootie shot? Did you think they'd been eradicated since you were a little kid?
All the nurses in my family thought they'd been wiped out years ago too, but one by one we got cooties a few years back. Now, in addition to the other seasonal vaccinations, we get our cootie shots.
Promise us you'll get your cootie shot once you're well.

Kidding aside, really hope you are on a fast mend, and are well before too long. Rest and the other measures you noted should do the trick

Get Well, Soon. We Zombies need you in tip top shape, as does the rest of BFP!

kittygrrl 09-29-2019 11:03 AM

Ha! The shot wouldn't work anyway. I think these are Canadian cooties. My coworker took a long weekend in Montreal and a few days later, I get sick. Coincidence; I think NOT!

I got sick around this time last year too and wound up sickness free through the entire winter, so maybe it's the beginning of a strange tradition of sorts. I don't mind if that's the trade off but I have to be cootie free before the 12th because I have a huuuuuuge art festival to attend and I'm not missing it this year (skipped it last year because I wasn't fully cootie-free).

*stomps foot gently as not to aggravate my headache*

RebelDyke 09-29-2019 05:15 PM

Someone once asked me why I abuse myself. I was pretty shocked, but thought about it more, and realized....I guess i kinda do with the amount of work, teaching, schooling I do. SO, i made the decision today on the way home from one of my many jobs that...

It is going to feel so good turning in my two week notice to the least paying (but most reliable) job. It will definitely give me less of a headache and more free time to relax and prepare for praxis.

YEAH! small jump for joy

GeorgiaMa'am 09-29-2019 06:53 PM

Accomplished! I got quite a lot done this weekend.

Also, I have an itchy eyeball. I scratched my cornea and it's taking a while to heal. I've done this before, and I can usually only feel it for about a day, but this has been going on for about a week. I got antibiotic drops for it on Wednesday. I also got some really expensive artificial tears that are preservative free that the eye doctor told me about, but I can't tell that they make much difference. Certainly not $17 worth of a difference. And, I am tired of wearing my glasses instead of contacts.

FireSignFemme 09-29-2019 09:59 PM

Glad to be done moving, happy to be in the new place. Exhausted, even with help this was hard work. Grateful I had people willing to help me, I could not have done this alone.

Esme nha Maire 09-30-2019 03:42 AM

Annoyed and a little upset. I zonked out (fell asleep unexpectedly) and missed an arranged chat with my sis as a result! Particularly annoyed as i;d had a lovely day up to that point.

RebelDyke 09-30-2019 07:00 AM

groggy and a bit overwhelmed. I have had to take allergy meds because of the construction I am doing as a precautionary measure to not wanting to wake up with a headache/sinus issues. Yet still keep a tight schedule. BUT my 1pm meeting cancelled so I am very happy I can go back to bed

Gemme 10-02-2019 10:45 AM

I feel better today, so that makes me happy.

Esme nha Maire 10-02-2019 12:20 PM

Anxious and upset. Had a bit of a meltdown at college about something that wasnt explaiend well in a module I would never do voluntarily and feared I wouldnt be able to do because I just dont have the mindset for it. Its been explained better now, but I havennt got over the upset yet.

Good and relieved. I need to have some dental work done and it’s been stressing me out. My dentist retired a year or so ago and I’ve gotten bad reports on the dentist he recommends. So, I decided to get three quotes from three dentists in my area. So glad I did. I’m going with third dentist I met today. She’s experienced and her rates are reasonable, I like her bed/side or chair/side manner, she’s given me some good options, she quickly identified the problems and even found a problem the other dentists had missed (or they didn’t mention it).

We start work next Thursday.

easygoingfemme 10-03-2019 09:03 AM

Nix that; it was only temporary. Back to coughing up a lung today.

JDeere 10-03-2019 04:53 PM

Tired...

Not getting enough actual rest is weighing down on me. I will be glad when I start work again, get back on a real sleep schedule.

FireSignFemme 10-03-2019 06:27 PM

Happy. Despite learning I can't measure cupboards and cabinets correctly to save my life so far it's been a pretty good day. These are the type that close almost by themselves and do so quietly. I didn't think I'd like them when a friend showed me hers but after working in the kitchen with them quite a bit today I found I actually really do. I can be forgetful so it's nice they “remember” for me and I'm not running into them during absent minded and/or forgetful moments.

cathexis 10-03-2019 11:05 PM

The antibiotics that I have been taking for this past year to save my leg are reaching the max. course. I was in the hospital for 5 months last year with surgery 4 times on my leg. In the hospital, I was on IV strong antibiotics. Medicare wouldn't pay for the IV ones at home. Hence, the oral antibiotics (2 heavy duty) are continuing. I have osteomylitis, diarrhea each time eat and spontaneously (must wear an incontinence brief, if out for awhile)

The package comes with yeast infections in the obvious areas, skin folds, mouth/throat with crusty sides of mouth. So, I also take daily Diflucan (anti-yeast) as well.

Now I face a decision of taking the antibiotics with leaving the hardware in my knee or have them take the hardware out risking the area from the knee down break and splinter with use, due to osteoporosis, and the removal of multiple screws and the supporting plate. The docs give me odds. Percentages that this or that major problem will occur. One or the other is very likely. It's possible that the major infection will ensue, continued.
This is all pretty unnerving and worrysome. :canoworms:

Feeling

I feel good. I have two more months of physical therapy but I can tell that my shoulder is healing. I enjoy PT and look forward to it everyday. The therapists are kind and caring to me. Most of all we make it fun and they laugh at my silly jokes. I made good friends there.

Orema 10-05-2019 07:18 AM

Okay. Am in the office and will probably be here for awhile wrapping up this project, but I have the next three days off and am jack happy about that.

When I go home today I'm gonna try to do most of my chores so I can really relax over the next few days, but that probably ain't gonna happen.

I often have big plans in the morning. Sometime they happen, sometimes they don't. Such is life.

feeling good, tired from working outdoors all day ... just ate an AMY's vegan burrito with couple glasses soy milk ... will take a nap now with the pups ...

check me out ...

my sciatic right butt and right leg pain has been so reasonable today ... I have not taken any ibuprofen since 6:00 a.m. ... unbelievable to me
because I worked pretty hard today ... just careful about not lifting anything too heavy ... I have really been exercising (PT at home) lots
more to strenthen my core and it seems to be extremely helpful ... maybe those discs are healing themselves ... who could know? I am so so thankful!! :)

Happy Saturday to Everyone! *grin*
