The annual tune-up on the central air unit. Best to stay on top of that and get it done before the weather gets too hot out. The unit passed with flying colors, so hopefully it will run without problems throughout the hot summer. :)

My apartment HVAC unit decided to spring a leak and run out of Freon Sunday night.

$1000 plus because it was the perfect time to replace the dying motor as well.

Thank goodness I didn't foot the bill.

:praying:

It's good they replaced it, I think this summer is going to be hotter than usual.

Agreed. The motor's been a long time coming (since before I came here over 2 years ago). I finally made the classification of 'squeaky wheel' and I got the oil. Woot!

Today, I haven't purchased anything yet. My car's currently on the rack at the shop getting half of her guts removed. I foresee about 5 hours of labor and parts ahead of me.

*whimper*

Oh no! What's wrong with her?

See, this is how Amazon gets you.

I got an email from Amazon with the "Deal of the Day".. and well what they do is .. if they have a history on their site (in your account) that you looked at something recently - they will send you an email.. (coincidentally ;).. when that item goes on sale.. ok enough rambling... here is what I bought

(2) Nikon Coolpix Cameras (the Deal of the Day).. one for myself and another for an early Christmas present (and to help that person with their photography hobby).

(2) Nikon Coolpix Camera leather carrying cases (well you know I HAD to).

30 day supply vitamin pak from Dr. Andrew Weil's Vitamin Advisor.

Comforter clips - to hold my comforter flush inside my duvet.

(1) Book of Quotations for my Kindle.

I had NO IDEA comforter clips existed. This makes me VERY happy :)

These are the ones I purchased. I have used them before - and they work like a charm. If you have a Queen size bed you will need (2) sets..

It. Was. AMAZING!

I paid ZERO for my car today because my mechanic is an awesome, stand up guy.

They replaced a hose leading to my gas tank but apparently only replaced one instead of both. The old hose caused my gas gauge to go wonky and create a brand new evap error for the canister, which is why I brought it in. The check engine light came on 20 miles after I drove off the lot.

Once they replaced the hose that wasn't replaced last week, everything was as it should be. My mechanic wouldn't even let me pay for the second hose. He said it should have been done at the same time the other one was done so we were set. I finally got him to agree to let me buy him lunch then he bailed on me when I asked what he wanted me to get (it was almost noon then). I'll remember, though.

ZERO.

PAID.

I became giddy with joy and immediately took my car to Scrub a Dub for a car wash, then went to Sam's for fresh blueberries, blackberries, mini cukes, a box of chipotle black bean burgers (OMG so good!) and a pretty CK tee that was on sale.

Blade 06-10-2015 08:02 PM

2 tires for my trailer

Jesse 06-11-2015 01:30 PM

1- 4'x8' wooden lattice
1- Box of 1" pan heads
2- Floodlight bulbs for the motion detector
1- Can of insulating foam sealant
2- Plastic plant bins with holes all over them for rooting plant cuttings in.
1- Jar of root powder

Oh, and I saw Maxine, (the cartoon character) in real life at Home Depot. I kid you not! :)

Gemme 06-11-2015 05:31 PM

Food, lots of food. Mashed potatoes (because theirs is better than mine), bananas, baby arugula and spring mix, frozen Greek yogurt and a WW box of treats, watermelon, lime Jello and cotton candy mini ice cream sundae.

Plus a color and deep condition.
