"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want." ~Margaret Young |

His Holiness the Dalai Lama:
If we live our lives continually motivated by anger and hatred, even our physical health deteriorates. Anger or hatred is like a fisherman's hook. It is very important for us to ensure that we are not caught by it. Even in the case of individuals, there is no possibility to feel happiness through anger. If in a difficult situation one becomes disturbed internally, overwhelmed by mental discomfort, then external things will not help at all. However, if despite external difficulties or problems, internally one's attitude is of love, warmth, and kindheartedness, then problems can be faced and accepted. We also often add to our pain and suffering by being overly sensitive, over-reacting to minor things, and sometimes taking things too personally. Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions. |
If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments. ~ Anne Morrow Lindbergh

I love him....
"When you're screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, that means they've given up on you."
That lesson has stuck with me my whole life. When you see yourself doing something badly and nobody's bothering to tell you anymore, that's a bad place to be. You may not want to hear it, but your critics are often the ones telling you they still love you and care about you, and want to make you better. ~Randy Pausch, from "The Last Lecture" |
A Easter Carol By Phillips Brooks
Tomb, thou shalt not hold Him longer;
Death is strong, but Life is stronger, Stronger than the dark, the light, Stronger than the wrong, the right, Faith and Hope triumphant say Christ will rise on Easter Day. While the patient earth lies waking Till the morning shall be breaking, Shuddering 'neath the burden dread of her Master, cold and dead --- Hark! she hears the Angels say Christ will rise on Easter Day. Up and down our lives obedient Walk dear Christ, with footsteps radiant, Till those garden lives shall be Fair with duties done for Thee And our thankful spirits say, Christ arose on Easter Day. And when sunrise smites the mountains, Pouring light fom Heavenly fountains. Then the earth blooms out to greet Once again the blessed feet; And her countless voices say Christ has risen on Easter Day. http://images-partners-tbn.google.co...ppy-easter.jpg |
"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her... " |

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles." ~ Audrey Hepburn |
"For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others." ~Audrey Hepburn |
