I was just let off the hook for a meeting today from 3 - 3:45. Which means I can leave at my normal time of 2:30.

I'm excited! I have picked out the dog I will bring to our adoption event tomorrow...Bark In The Park. He's a tough "sell" not many people are interested in Bluetick Hounds here...but I just love Ole' Blue :) Wish me luck getting him adopted!

Watching little Cracker get all excited and busy when she discovered her first fresh Pecan (with the shell partially cracked open by her Momma 'cause she's so tiny)...she's only about 3 times the size of a Pecan. It was so fun to see her munch and nibble down with such delight. I got so tickled when she took the second one, like a dog with a bone, down to the bottom of her cage and searched for just the right spot to bury it for later. She's learning to be a big squirrel!!

Finished my paper for Vocational Planning, turned in my first written assignment for Interpersonal Communications and posting in our discussion forum now. KJ is passed out with her head in my lap and Goose is crashed on the couch after an episode of "How It's Made", with the pup curled up at her feet. I am smiling :)

Having an unexpected lunch outing with my twin sister. This is the one person in my life who has been with me from the very first moments of my life. I don't know why she was put in my life but I do know what it is like to have a life long friend and someone in my corner and never losing faith in me. Even when I made mistakes.

Having dinner with my daughter and her father at TGIFridays, we had a nice conversation that didn't involve all of us on our cell phones.

while taking a nice hot shower.. I thought, I am the happiest I've been in a long time. What makes me smile is the simplest things in life. How I've grown to appreciate all that is around me and know that I am blessed and thankful for everything in my life, good and bad.

I had a great morning at the farmer's market and archery range with a friend. I was waking up behind my big blue sunglasses, and my hair was getting tossed playfully by the wind. I told my friend that next best thing to feeling freshly f**ked is looking like you've been freshly f**ked. We both cracked up. ;-)

A text message from her that read: "Hola mi amante" which is Spanish for "Hello my lover". I love it when she talks to me in Spanish or German, both of which she is fluent in.

Finding out from a friend that she found a job in Florida and will be moving mid-november! I'm so happy for her, and even more excited that I will have a friend already there when I get there too! We can "learn the ropes" together and give the guys a break! Lol

Seeing all of us lingering in the lobby of the lilrock Peabody. In spite of my sierragirrl..aka ..Lori..gettin really a snotty cold...we joined as much as we could. We found such awesome energy. It was an honor to meet you all! We decided to linger another nite before traveling back to norcal. Thankyou to the young beauty who gave us glow sticks. Are you on my friend list? Im thinkin so. Thankyou to Arwen with just awesome poems...to Medusa who wrote an amazing poem and let me buy her a drink. Thanks to all of the guys who totally made me feel welcome!!!!!!! These are friendship beginnings...I hope.

I got an upgrade for my Las Vegas trip that reads like this: two bedroom villa is approx. 1,190 sq. ft. Features a King bed in each master room and a sofa bed in each living room. There are two full baths and two full kitchens. Amenities include: washer/dryer. How sweet is that? Now my gf's BFF and his husband can come party with us (adult beverage wise that is) and they won't have to worry about driving home that night!

Well even though I didnt get Ole Blue adopted at Bark In The Park I did get him sponsored AND I got wonderful news today. He was adopted by a retired gentleman who wanted a pal to hang out on the porch with :) Ole Blue would be the perfect dog for that. Quoting the Charlie Daniels song Long haired Country Boy "I'm kinda like my ole Bluetick hound I like to lay around in the shade" yeah for Ole Blue!
