Most parts of Washington State are under high wind warnings for the next two days!
|
Today will be 40 something, and sunny in Indy. Now I know for a fact that our planet is warming up! I have actually been seeing spring-time Robin red-breasts hopping around in the woods here, in NW Indiana, since Feb 4! Never, never , happened here so soon on Lake Michigan! I even heard some song birds singing, and watch them building nests. I have not even shoveled snow yet this winter, or scraped ice off my windshield. The lake isn't even frozen! Unheard of! (I have been loving this winter btw :))

Apparently, Corkey is liking us and sharing again. Yesterday's snowfall is in the books. Todays sunshine and warm temps melted all the heavy, wet, frozen stuff on the trees and power lines. Was a good day to wear a football helmet while moving outdoors. Snow is predicted for Sun night thru Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Saturday. |
Wait til next week, I'll be sharing my ass off:hangloose:

Signs of spring were evident the last week of January.
Trees were budding, at the height of unusual rainy weather. Today, and for the better part of the week ahead, we have nothing but blue skies, dazzling sunshine, and birdsong. The arrival of birds typically marks the advent of spring --- something that happens generally in March, not the first week of February. Highs: 60's. Lows: mid to low 40's. |
It's in the 60'S but the nights was cold, cold enough to make my sore knee hurt like it was on fire, not a good feeling.

Blizzard warning in effect as of 4am. Glares at Corkey. Introduces Corkey to Kitty. Kitty does not like snow. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...51ed236337.jpg Slowly walks away while Kitty discusses snow with Corkey. Hehe. |

Tomorrow we're supposed to get somewhere between 5-12 inches and then Wednesday we're supposed to get more. Too soon to tell how much that should dump but looking at the maps, it could likely be another 6 inches or more. I foresee another early store closing tomorrow for my company. |
Ahhhh told ya', any day I don't have to shovel is a good day....:eatinghersheybar: Here kitteh puuuuurrrrrr.........:|

you love me, you know it. |
I always feel guilty posting our temps, which is why I rarely do.
Tonight 71 degrees. Tomorrow 82. I know, it is crazy. |
Currently 46 degrees and Mostly Clear
|
It's sunny and very windy with the temp at 32*. For a second I thought it was snowing till I put on my glasses to see it was some kind of fuzzy tree seeds blowing like crazy, so glad that's all it is.

Well, it looks like someone shook up a snow globe out there. Blizzard is here. Winds howling. Depth of snow, thus far, was deceptive, from the second floor, until the plow got here - thats a crapload of snow. And, what was to lessen by late afternoon has now been extended to some time during the night. :| I'm beginning to understand and appreciate why people from these parts head to Florida and Arizona for Feb and March aka I am getting too old for this. |
Arizona got snow this month.
Nowhere is safe. It says 'light snow' on one site and 'snow showers' on another for my area currently. They clearly have not looked out the window. I may be suffering from shaken snow globe syndrome. :vigil: |

Actually Hawaii gets a crapload of snow, one year 10 feet on Haleakala, in June....and Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa get snow most years. Lets face it they are all over 13 thousand feet elevation.....

Wow. Didnt know that. You spreading your love wide, far and high I see. LOL. I remember years ago, there was a study that said the perfect place to live, weather and otherwise was Grenada. Of course that was right before Reagan invaded it. :sunglass: |
