My car just returned from a trip to the service center. It was diagnosed with "brake groan".

I suppose that is a step up from the customary explanation of noises as "its a Camry thing".

Brake groan? Really?

It's not groaning anymore tho.

I was wondering ...

... how the hell little bitty kids are ever able to open their snack puddings by themselves.

I had the quad pack for dinner tonight (tapioca pudding) ... I stood in the kitchen and wrestled with getting all four of them opened before I started eating them so I could enjoy them one by one, no pause ... just back to back pudding ... and not get stressed because the next one was so difficult to break in to ...

Lined 'em up, knocked 'em over ... that is the way to do it.
It was a good time. LOL!

I woke up a whole lot less cranky than I was yesterday.

Yay me. Yay world.

"I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I always used my shampoo to wash the rest of my body while in the shower. It was just easier to lather up my hair and use the extra suds on my body instead of soap. Then I saw the words printed on my shampoo bottle “for extra volume and fullness”. No wonder I can’t lose weight! Now I’m using my dish soap in the shower. It’s guaranteed to remove fat and other unwanted deposits that other soaps leave behind!

Here I was sitting looking at this picture and my eye wanders to the fire escapes in the background. My first thought was "someone stole the Statue of Liberty's dress!". or it just could be the fever talking... wanders off to take more cold/flu stuff...

can you tie a knot??

Today at work I taught an educated professional woman, older than myself, how to tie a knot at the end of a string.
A simple knot at the end of a string. How, in her 40 some years, did she not learn how to do that?

From a little trickle great rivers form.

From a conker great oak trees grow.

Entycing Femme posted this in the light a candle thread
and I just felt the urge to repost this
because I look at it and I makes me think of serenity.
I'd like to find one of these - and just light the candles and rearrange the sand and feel the days stress melt away.

It appears that in spite of the information available on the internet, and other places, there are still adults who don't know what causes pregnancy.

I have been listening to my toddler neighbor running up and down
the hallway in his unit for 3 days now.

I am exhausted.

HE is doing the running and I get tired for him. WTF is that about???

Sparkle 05-17-2011 09:46 AM

I'm all about buying local, and on the rare occasions I buy coffee, I almost always buy from a local coffee shop.

I do not like Dunkin Donuts and I generally avoid Starbucks on principle...

But I must confess - my local Starbucks is currently brewing 100% Kona Coffee and I can not resist it if I am downtown (as I was this morning).

I feel like a traitor.
But at least I am a highly caffeinated with the best coffee in the world traitor.

It's also entirely possibly this is all spin from our government designed to discredit him among Muslims, specifically to prevent him from becoming a martyr among them.

Or maybe he was just regular folk (and a hypocrite).

Sometimes I feel like my desk chair should have a seat belt, for all of the dramatic roller-coaster rides that happen around me on a daily basis.

I would also quite a like a negativity-deflector-shield.

Please & Thank You.

Don't use a big word when a singularly unloquacious and dimunitive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity.
