The other a Pierrot Doll in need of even more TLC and restoration; both for me to love and cherish. :) (I collect Pierrot, have done since the 80s, lol!) |
The way my home smells right now...
Upon taking inventory of my fridge i decided i best do something with an assortment of apples that were too soft for eating... At the moment they are happily simmering on the stove on their way to becoming the homemade applesauce for holiday and bake sale cakes, breads and muffins... Mmmmmmmm...such a happy home i have been blessed with!! |

It's been a long week, but it is Friday; I'm done with the EXPO and my professional development class,,,which means,,,,I GET TO GO HOME TOMORROW!!!

It was "Random Act of Kindness Day" at school (as one astute student pointed out, how random can it be when it is a designated day for this!). Anyway, there were numerous post-it notes on lockers, on the phones, in the hallways with comments ranging from you are beautiful, you are amazing, you are worthy etc.
When I went to the caf to get a coffee, someone had already paid for it, and I saw a student buying two cookies, so I got it for her, which made her day. (Most of our students don't have a lot of extra spending money). It was really nice to see (esp. considering when I saw the first one, I presumed it was something foul about someone or something...guess I am a bit cynical!). :) |
I QUIT!
I put away the tobacco two days ago and I've been going insane. :seeingstars: Today I finally got the nicotine patch. I was skeptical at first, but within say 30 minutes, my craving was gone! And that's with me sitting in my usual smoking spot, next to someone who was actively smoking, and I didn't have the craving to smoke.
I know two days ain't much, but I'm proud of myself for doing that much cold turkey and sticking to my decision to quit smoking my lovely Drew Estates Isla del Sol cigars <sigh>. So yeah, I smiled today. :) |
1. My babygirl telling me she was "in love with me." Makes me smile EVERYTIME!!!!
2. Having my 10 month old niece playing with my earings as she laid her head on my shoulder and fell asleep!! 3. My girlfriends sweet amazing kisses, can't help but smile thinkin of 'em! 4. Picture of my Mom...RIP! 5. Knowing I was right and having the administratior where I work change her attitude when she realized I knew I was right! 6. A voicemail....God I love her! 7. The sultry sound in her voice when I told her my "naughty" thoughts lol These were in no particular order...just thinking back over the day! |

1. Waking up this morning knowing that I am going home to my beautiful wife today! I've missed her all week!
2. Knowing that I will also get to see the majority of the Austinites for a gathering at our home this evening, and 3. Realizing that since I have been in Philadelphia all week and have adjusted to it being one hour later, technically, I get to fall back one hour tonight, but to me it will seem like two hours! All great reasons to smile this morning! Glynn |

Going out on the last night of the famous Blackpool Illuminations determined to get the first jumping shot I've done in an age. I failed but had loads of fun doing it...I'm still grinning!

My SIL was so grateful that she didn't have to cook dinner! She was doing office work while my sister and I roasted potatoes & veggies, broiled some awesome steaks, and made a salad. Rounded things out with some nice red wine.
She may have got out of cooking but she happily did the dishes. |
