Butch Femme Planet - Penpals, Scrapbookers, Postcard Artists and Other Creative Types

So I got a bunch of those blank postcards and am making my own. I'm realizing that the art doesn't really resemble a holiday. It's just the secret that has to be holiday themed, right?

ETA: I guess I could make them Halloween-ish if need be

Awesome, thanks you two! I figured it was like a post card one might buy--the front may not exactly match the secret.

Katzchen, your cards have been received. Not only were the cards touching and awesome looking, but you:

-remembered to include a five-dollar bill (NO CHECKS, please)

-did not require a signature for delivery

hee hee hee, that's too cute! Time slips by sooooo quickly, it really does! There's still a few weeks yet to go, right???

Thanks for letting me sit in on this round..... I've wanted to for years, things in life happened that kept me from joining, but I've always wanted to do the Post Secret round.

I just figured out how to change the dye cartridges in my printer so went a little clip art overboard crazy today. Tomorrow is going to be fun because finally with all the drudge work out of the way now it's all about assembly and I always like that part best. I'm wondering how everyone else is doing, which stage you're at and how close to being done. Someone already has theirs finished and in the hands of the wrangler – impressive, I'm marveling at that quick turn around time.

Oh, my secret has been found, but putting it together is a very 'holiday' process. I can work on it anywhere for now. Image, waiting for my oil change this am. Hmmmmm, makes you wonder , huh?

And Mister Blaze, he is almost finished and so fitting of him.

Oh, still lots of work to be done. I'm back to work after being on glorious vacation. So process will slow down. I'm so happy there is so much time to create :)

Okay mandatory stuff is done, always a relief. I'm finishing up extras now. Should be ready to mail soon but any speed bumps along the way and at least I'll have what I committed to finished, ready to ship and in the mail on time.

Usually we wait til one project is done and been received before we think of doing another...gets way too confusing....but stick around....but we may not do anything else til after first of year as several have way too much else on their plates, folks travelling, etc....

The holiday greeting card is a separate thread on BFP - it's not part of the Penpal thread. Usually whoever is willing to be the wrangler (you, perhaps?) resurrects the thread from the previous year and starts a new round of address gathering, etc. from everyone on BFP.

I finished mine this weekend. I kept them anonymous because I felt the secret might make others look askance at me... but then again, it wouldn't be a secret if that wasn't the case! Oh, and... sadly you all know my aesthetic style and handwriting by now so I'm not sure how secret it's going to be :D

Mine were sent out yesterday by registered mail. No signature by recipient required but allows packages to be tracked. Expect two small packages. Inside - one plain envelope and one with writing on it for each participant. I forgot to enclose the participation fee after sealing up the boxes so that's on it's way in a separate envelope.

Omg, I had my postcards and $5 bill in my purse all ready to go to the post office today. I had errands downtown, walking on foot. It was soooo fucking cold I thought I was going to die. The p.o. was last on my list and was just like I...can't.....make.....it. I turned and went home. I saw on the news it was 3 degrees with wind chill! No wonder. I will try again tomorrow.
