A couple days away by myself!!
Today started with one dog having a total, nasty blow out in her crate then stomping in it. That took at least an hour to clean up and bathe her.
Then another young dog thought he could fight with the old chihuahua. Muzzle time!
Later that old chihuahua cocked his leg in the hallway and pissed where I couldn't get it clean good.
Then the 2nd young dog decided she was gonna pitch a loud screaming fit during dinner. Oh hell no!!
Then after dinner while trying to get medicine in the old chihuahua's ears, he decided to go all Tasmanian devil on me and start chewing on my hand while growling and snapping! Thank God he only has 2 teeth! My roommate was no help while he was laughing!
Now that chihuahua is in his crate in my room screaming his head off to be let out. No amount of pillow over my ears will drown out that gawd awful noise!
I'm looking forward to at least 2 days at Hot Springs!!!

Getting the house all to myself!

Mary has company coming in this weekend to help celebrate her birthday and I know as soon as they arrive, they'll all be off to the casinos....:cards:

I just registered for a three day fundraising bike ride - raising money for young survivors of breast cancer. 200 miles. I am looking forward to the training and the ride itself! :fastcycling:

I'm looking forward to not having to wear a hat outdoors. Maybe by mid-April.

I just Googled ( is that really a verb?) and they do, indeed, have a river. that runs some 156 miles, under and out of, Chicago; and it has been dyed green for St Pat's since 1962 ( that's a damn lot of food-colouring ).

Spending the weekend tending to some brand new baby chicks, sitting by the fire pit, snacking on boiled crawfish, and just enjoying some fresh (albeit a bit pollen-y) country air with my love.

A continuing education seminar. Though I'm not working right now it's still really important to me to keep up to date. In my state when you put your license into inactive status you don't have to take any continuing education classes, but I think it's important, and in the past employers have commented in a positive way about my having done so in the middle of dealing with health stuff. Since J has to do continuing education too , both for her home health aide as well as massage therapist license we're both going to take the class together. Usually these seminars are pretty fun, both interesting and informative.

Attending Pride with my girlfriend and some friends this weekend! Should be good times, for sure. :LGBTQFlag:

I'm content because the toilet, dishwasher and air conditioner are all working at the same time for the first time in, oh I don't know but it's been forever. Monte will soon be pretty content too because unlike a lot of cats who enjoy sunbathing he seems to prefer the cold. Now with the air conditioner working properly he'll have more choices when it comes to places to hang out this summer.

To someone else besides me posting in the "if you're ever here go there" thread.........

One of my best friends will be here tomorrow. She lives almost a 6 hour drive away so we don't get to see each other enough. She was supposed to be here tonight but had to switch to tomorrow and I am on duty for my nephews tomorrow so she'll come to my brother's house and be witness to the crazy which is these two little boys. My parents will be there too. My older nephew (6) and I are supposed to be cooking dinner for everyone. I'm glad my friend will be there to help.

I'm looking forward to playing "tour guide" and showing her around Seattle. A coastal drive down to Oregon and doing all the touristy stuff like a visit to Voodoo Donuts, Powell's Bookstore, and because we're both greeting card fanatics a stop at Allport Cards.

I'm also looking forward to showing her some of the Washington's Peninsula quaint towns like Sequim, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, and whatever else time permits.

A few of my girlfriends are meeting me in Woodstock today for lunch. It's our halfway between our houses meeting point. It will be really good to see them and the restaurant has my favorite sandwich, a tempeh Reuben on really good gluten free bread.
