I would have totally done it for only 2x what they pay you all.

What's on my mind? I wish I didn't have to take my son's med to get it filled and then drive half-way across town to give it to him after the way he's been acting here lately. I mean, he's been a demanding, unappreciative, rude individual and he had the nerve to call me unreliable when I didn't have his med ready for him when he wanted it. Well excuse me! I have a life too ya know?

How close we are to being together forever. I am so excited, and that is making the stress of tying up loose ends here easier. He is my everything, and I have never been more sure of a decision in my whole life. He is truly the most amazing person I have ever been blessed to meet and I am the happiest I have ever been.

Inked_Trinity 10-21-2011 06:39 AM

You finally figure out what you need and want in life. You search for it, never really finding that exact fit that's comfortable. Then all of a sudden you realize it's staring you in the face and it's been right in front of you for a while. Amazing how that works.......

Slight confusion on Universal Health Care "bliss" in Canada....
(maybe a Canadian can help me here..?)

Just to clarify my confusion...

• Canada has Universal Health care or single-payer health care....check

• A patient within Canada (citizen, of course) has the pick of the lot, can visit any Dr., any Hospital within Canada, of their choice..Doesn't matter if private or not, since most Canadians usually have a private insurance provided by Employers to cover the rather few non-medical necessary procedures...Check

• The "small" consequence of Universal Care (in Canada) is a small waiting list depending on urgency of either Visit or Test (MRI, Dental, CT etc....)...Check

• However, many high-quality medical graduates leave Canada...For better paying Careers in the U.S., resulting in a worrisome "brain drain" within.

Am I to understand that Universal Health Care (or rather single-payer health care) is a superb "ideal", something I would actually *love* to have within the entire U.S., but because within the Medical field of Canada the paycheck could possibly be shit, based on the "Exodus" of kick-ass Canadian Medical grads to the U.S., Canada has all these benefits...and subpar Doctors?.... :wallbreak:

I'm only curious, and confused.....
so yeah....
That's on my mind this dreary cold friday morning b4 hemoDialysis treatment.
:glasses:

The simple joy of spending time with her... No place to be, no timetable, nothing but us... The simple contentment of a sunday on a saturday...

Throwing on a warm shaw over my dress and walking out barefoot in the cold drizzle to picking blackberries and raspberries.

Remembering to appreciate simple joyful things and life and not obsess over things out of my control...

Today I was sitting here thinking how nice it was to be around people during the Reunion. I was also thinking that as much as I enjoy living alone, I also dislike it. I'm not saying I want to run out and find a partner, but was thinking how nice a roommate would be. On the downside, I have rescue cats and not everyone can handle being around them. In the past, I find I can have my own space when needed and still have the company of another in my house. I may or may not be having a BIG reunion crash and could just be thinking that way at the moment because of it. Either way, it would sure be great to hear another voice or share a meal with someone on a regular basis.

This my friends is what happens when I have a day off of work...I get the chance to actually think :|

"Women will get a chance to box in the Olympics for the first time in 2012. If the Amateur International Boxing Association has anything to say about it, they will be wearing skirts."

This article was on Yahoo sports yesterday. It stated that it would be more womanly and elegant for the females to wear skirts..... I don't know about you, but how they can say that two females trying to knock the crap out of each other can be made elegant by wearing a skirt is beyond me!

I am a boxer, I have been in the ring quite a bit.....NEVER in a skirt! This is just sexist!

OMFG!!! That is complete and utter BULLSHIT!!!! I can't believe I'm reading this in 2 thousand f-ing 11!! We'll let the women do a traditionally male dominated sport as long as she agrees to conform to our (mens) ideas of acceptable feminine clothing .... OMG!!!

I knew a girl that was a boxer. She never wore a skirt either, they just wore the normal shorts.

Dominique 10-28-2011 12:26 PM

When you think of the word skirt, apparently your mind immediately goes to office wear.

I wear these small spandex runners skirts (panties built in) that look great with a runners bra. I can see boxers wearing that in the ring. I don't see it being sexist.

Something like this (a little shorter)

In the tradition of the sport..... I believe female fighters should be able to wear boxing trunks. That's just my personal opinion. I know that what I do in the ring, I would not be comfortable wearing a skirt. I have been knocked out and laying there in a skirt would have just made it worse for me.

For me this is like telling the US women's soccer team that they have to play in skirts because they are female.

When guys have to wear skirts as well, I won't see it as being sexist.

Change can be good. It was the U.S. soccer team that made it acceptable for a woman to be seen in public in BRA only.

We don't have to agree.

Dominique 10-28-2011 12:44 PM
