This is what I wear......

My boss worries about the wrong fuckin' things..Unreal, get a fuckin' grip already!

Makes mountains out of molehills... (rolling eyes)

The things she should worry about and/or take into consideration, she doesn't..

And to think they get paid huge salaries through us small people making the decisions and getting the job done.

Daktari 10-28-2011 01:11 PM

It's bloody ridiculous to make female boxers wear skirts. Surely it should be upto the individual what appropriate clothing they should wear in the ring.

I'd be interested to know what our local lass and rather well known boxer (now promoter) thinks about this.

Why stop at mini-skirts? Many people consider bikinis perfectly reasonable, non-sexist attire for females in combative sports.

Maybe the next step would be to broadcast women's fights in slow motion.

Dominique 10-28-2011 01:33 PM

"By wearing skirts, in my opinion, it gives a good impression, a womanly impression," Poland coach Leszek Piotrowski told BBC Sport. "Wearing shorts is not a good way for women boxers to dress.

Apparently this is a big deal in some countries.:blink:

It's a huge debate. I know the female fighters at my gym are pretty hot over it!

I TOTALLY understand your position. Others didn't see the rep comments we sent to each other. :bunchflowers: You should be allowed to participate in that very physical sport without having to worry about a wardrobe malfunction.

And all should know the respect I hold for you friend :flowers: Thank you for the wonderful debate today!

what is on my mind is snake skins. No matter how many skins a snake sheds, he is still a snake.

I am going to use that line in the book I am working on....

I discovered this morning during a business meeting at her home, that "Attilla the Hun", an alpha femme business associate of mine for five years, sleeps in bunny pj's complete with the covered feet and cotton tail! I just cannot help but think of her differently from now on... :blink:

Finally getting a weekend with Sir. It sucks having to wait 6 weeks for this to come around again, however it also sucks to go 5 days without him. Hmmmm... Not sure which is worse.. But I will take the weekend with him!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excited and scared to death that I am taking on the sponsorship of our Uniteens (6th, 7th and 8th graders) at my church. I was shocked to learn they had no leader other than fill ins at this time. I love my 4th and 5th graders but I know they are just fine under the care of the other teachers. Its funny because I have been feeling like something was missing lately. Apparently it was a challenge I needed :|.
I am excited although I may need some advice from parents out there who have the little monsters... I mean.. umm... kids.. :)
pajama 10-28-2011 07:45 PM
LOTS
I should be in N'awlins....for Voodoo....
But I REALLY wanted to be in Asheville....for Moogfest....
But because of low census all summer......I'm sitting at home instead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm trying to be really patient about the new job. They are running background checks and called my personal/professional references today. So I really would like for them to go ahead and call me and make me an offer. *sigh*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND on the call already front....I wish Best Buy would call The Boy back for a second interview. I think he'd really love the discount. The job, I'm not so sure about. LOL
lol I love it when dudes try to tell women what is womanly.
little_ms_sunshyne 10-28-2011 09:23 PM
Going to a corn maze tomorrow with my sister with 300 kids! Why did I volunteer for this? I hope I find my way out....I hope they find their way out! :|
J. Mason 10-28-2011 10:05 PM
Tomorrows antics and party!
BullDog 10-28-2011 10:15 PM
What is on my mind is how amazed and grateful I am that my sweetie and I can be so different in some ways (yin yang, personality, temperament, etc) yet be so like minded on relationship issues and practical matters. I do feel I have the best of both worlds when it comes to complimentary contrasts and yet being like minded on the things that matter the most. And we laugh and laugh and laugh together until our sides (and other body parts, lol) hurt. It truly is amazing.
Ebon 10-29-2011 04:37 PM
Whether or not I should accept my cousins friend request on facebook. I haven't seen or talked to her in literally 20 years. She doesn't know anything about my life but she's family. What to do what to do.
little_ms_sunshyne 10-29-2011 04:47 PM
Wondering where the weekend goes? Why does it fly by so quickly?
ruffryder 10-29-2011 04:47 PM
boredom. although I should just enjoy it because I know next week and possibly next 2 months will be busier times in my life.
uglyboi 10-29-2011 05:31 PM
Yeah Baby
Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!
I wear these small spandex runners skirts (panties built in) that look great with a runners bra. I can see boxers wearing that in the ring. I don't see it being sexist.
Something like this (a little shorter)
http://www.lisajohnsonfitness.com/wp...02-300x300.jpg
I actually think that skirt is adorable.
BUT
Here's what makes what is being done sexist:
A bunch of MEN are telling WOMEN what they can and cannot wear.
Now, if a boxer chooses to wear the skirt, fine. If she chooses to wear trunks, fine.
When they try to take a woman's choice away is when it becomes icky and chock full of -isms.
Hillo
I want to pet a Hobo!
Dominique 10-30-2011 05:31 AM
Yesterday the library had a halloween party for the neighborhood kids. What fun! The turn out was great. There is one point I'd really like to make. The library limited the halloween bags to one piece of candy. The bags had an apple, a tangerine, a pear and a bag of lightly salted microwave popcorn. I was astounded with how well this fresh fruit went over.
On my mind:
Snow on the weekend of Halloween
Not wanting to deal with angry Zombies who have no power
Wondering why I am still such a slow comprehensive reader
Hoping my Boi is having a good day at work
*someday I will have a job that does not require me to work retail on Sundays, which means I need to find a non-retail job... yeah yeah I know*
How I feel so lazy today . I cleaned and done laundry yesterday and I just feel lazy today at the same time I feel guilty, since I have things that could be done ..... a slow cooker is going that's a good thing least I know I will eat .
WingsOnFire 10-30-2011 12:32 PM
knowing how blessed I am to have such a wonderful Sir who recognizes my need for a Daddy as well. Knowing that we both agree he no longer can be and has not been for a long time that person any longer.
Knowing that our relationship is rock solid and that we both embrace the possibilities the future holds.
the girl... who also is a babygirl at heart..
Yes, home is getting snow and Iowa is sunny with their usual wicked wind.
You give the zombies the power by feeding them coffee lol
You read slowly because you ARE comprehensive. It's not a bad thing at all. It is better to dig into the reading especially since you must teach it. Who wants a Professor that don't know what they are talkin about? You love what you do and you show that by being comprehensive across the board in your life...I think it's great!
Your Boi's day went okay considering the circumstances and the trainer I have. It got a lot better about 9:30 pm my time and just went up from there ;)
*Someday you will be a Tenured Professor and won't be in retail.
Sleeping Beauty :D *chuckles*
Dominique 10-31-2011 05:14 AM
The state has eliminated 13 million dollars of funding for 24 libraries. The city has cut their contribution by 3.5 million. They've placed a referendum
on the election ballot to increase property taxes by.25% (basically $2.90 a month) to help fund the libraries. We really are running out of funding ideas.
Now, people are screaming this is an unfair tax. Taxing only property owners instead of charging the same amount as a user fee. This is getting more press than OPgh. I can not imagine a life without a free library system. People need this.
