Submission (2017) starring: Addison Timlin, Stanley Tucci, Kyra Sedgwick

A cynical college professor takes a keen interest in a talented young writing student.

Even tho it was pretty predictable and we've seen this story told a million times, I have to say I really enjoyed it.........

Found this on Netflix. It was kind of slow to start but not for long. Also, you really had to follow the plot line. It was one of those "piecely pullzey" But, all in all I would give it 5 starts.

I've been watching a bunch of movies lately. Of those, I think Book Club was my favorite.

My son downloaded a copy of Won't You Be My Neighbor, and gave it to me. We both discussed wanting to see it, but not in a movie theater as we know bouts of ugly crying will happen. So, I am going to get a fresh roll of two ply, climb under the covers, tell him to wear his noise cancelling ear phones and dive in.

I saw Downsizing yesterday. The ending wasn't what I anticipated but the concept is food for thought.

The Birthday Movie..

You cannot go wrong with this group of women (although there is always a chance). Yeah, not this time.

The movie was awesome and I think it might have left a hint that they will be doing more and keep with the same theme/numbering as the George Clooney line up. Here is to hoping!!

I watched a movie called Waiting... from several years ago. It has a ton of present day known actors in it but was not awesome. It's kind of like clerks for an Applebee's or Bennigan's type restaurant. Not great. Watchable if you have something else going on though.

I do like Ryan Reynold's voice. Especially now that he's Deadpool. Cuz it makes more sense now.

I re-watched this movie and enjoyed it like I did the first time. Cried in the same spots too.

A Simple Favour

Hi guys,
Saw this yesterday at the local cinema.
I thought it was brilliant.
This film is funny and as twists at so many points.
It is one for the ladies for sure.
So if you want to see a good film where you just sit back and ndont have to think too much go see it.
I wouldn't mind seeing it again actually.

I watched Like Mike again while puttering around the house last night. It was fluff but no one can say that Morris Chestnut is not a handsome man.

I know it's difficult to tell by the clip but this is really a romantic love story as odd as that might seem IMHO.....:movieguy:

We went to see The Meg. Stupid name for what was actually an excellent, edge of your seat movie.

Sorry I can’t do the wicked cool clippy thing with my phone (or maybe I can but don’t know how) My computer will be fixed this week .

S&M Sally...Seriously one of the best movies ever! It’s the third in trilogy by a butch woman ! So nice to see real butches on the screen for a change!

Selena with Jennifer Lopez.

First time I viewed it and I it was good. The music was great and took me back to when I lived near the ocean in the 90s. And I like JLo’s acting (Blood and Wine, Shades of Blue) more than I like most singers who try to act (Whitney, Beyonce, Bowie). Not sure I’ll watch it again, but I enjoyed it enough to recommend it to others.

A Star Is Born

Wow, what a brilliant film.
Loved it so much I wanna go back.
The music in this film is amazing, it's really moving in a lot of places.
Make the effort to see it, you won't regret it one bit.

A Star is Born

Went to see A Star is Born. It was way better than I could ever have imagined. I think that Gaga is in a class all by herself. I already downloaded the music. Cooper did an excellent job at directing. I found it interesting that it was produced by Jon Peters who was Streisand's boyfriend and they co-produced her version of A Star is Born

Kätzchen 10-13-2018 08:06 PM

Same here: I went to see A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. What an outstanding music soundtrack, story line and fabulous performances by an all-star cast.

I saw two movie trailers for upcoming movies I want to see, though:

The Upside and Rocket Man (Elton John).
