Lindt is not the only chocolate company with problems, but I won't be eating their chocolates any time soon. I really want to see that CR report.

Why is everything so good so bad?? Lol

And I thought chocolate was a safe option since no recalls for listeria, salmonella, or E.coli. I would often joke when reading about another recall on veggies that chocolate or cake don't seem to be subjects of recalls. But alas, that bubble has burst. This article from consumer reports lists all the chocolate companies who make unsafe chocolate, especially dark chocolate. I'm crying a little bit.

Pizza

It’s my daughter’s birthday and she wanted margerita pizza.

She’s a simple kind of girl….

Cin, thank you so much for finding that article. I'm looking for some Ghirardelli dark chocolate now, even though it's only described as "safer". I'll just have to save it for special occasions.

Their sweet tea isn’t bad and I love their pickles

Googled it. Those potatoes sound so good!

Last night we had early christmas with my nephews and Solstice with my kiddo and their partner. I baked brie wheels in puffed pastry topped with a cranberry balsamic reduction, baguette, roasted veggies, and french fries that my nephews had requested.

As it is all of 14 degrees outside I threw the dutch oven on the wood stove which was fired up. I loaded that pot with beef and chicken broth, veggies, mac elbows, mushrooms and chicken.
That will be supper and lunch and supper and lunch!

We have a brand new one about 2 miles down the road. I find some good stuff there!

cinnamongrrl 12-22-2024 07:55 PM

I reheated (barely) a steak biscuit that I got yesterday somewhere in Virginia. I realized around 5p that I hadn’t eaten all day since I was crazy busy cleaning and unpacking.
It sufficed!
