Holiday weekend: Complete.

Talk about adventure-filled! Got the car towed, cleaned out the bank accounts to get it back, played in a nail-biter volleyball game Thursday night, Friday was the fair and the concert, Saturday I competed in the tassel twirling event at the burlesque show, and Sunday & yesterday were "drive around and hang out with people" days.

You are correct. Believe it or not, double sided carpet tape was the adhesive of choice for the evening. :)

As for the car getting towed, there's a really good reason Philly had a TV show based off of the parking authority. It is INSANE how convoluted the parking rules are. it was two hour parking form 7am to 7pm but the other sign that I didn't see said no parking 7pm to 7am, which is different from EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE CITY where after 7pm (or whatever the evening cutoff time is) you can park for free.

I did not sleep well—less than three hours, but that has been my pattern for a few weeks. Other than that, I'm smiling, and almost ready to head out the door to my volunteer job. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and more leaves have turned overnight—its a beautiful day in my neighborhood. ;-)

I'm moving slow this morning, but it promises to be a good day. The theory is that it will get up to 70 today which would be great, for my big cleaning project—the carpet dries much more quickly when I can open windows. I have only two rooms left, and the smoke damage will be just an unpleasant memory soon.

Well, i must say i am much better, i am always having to be strong and the other day too much crap going around my head. Liam,, hope your carpets dried well, what is the story behind the smoke damage? Got a company picnic to go to tomorrow, maybe i will win one of the prizes (crossing fingers for the week vacation lol, but the big screen tv wouldnt be bad either.) And then I think i will work on getting things organized under my carport, then next weekend, start scraping ceilings and paint the living room. I absolutely hate textured ceilings lol. Where is a guy when you need one lol! Have a great night all, i will be on awhile if anyone wants to pm and get to know each other better, just looking for friends lol before you all get scared, or maybe that is what would scare you lol.

Sanee, my Mom tried to burn the house down, last week. She is no longer allowed to play with fire. The carpet is dry and she is tucked in for the night! I hope you have fun at your company picnic, and that you win a great prize.

I came home one day last week and found a piece of melted plastic on the counter and in the drain was a ladle with a big hole in it! What i didnt understand is why she washed it lol!!

Why are we all still single? I've talked to a fair amount of y'all and I can tell you for a fact that you're all wonderful, sweet, caring, attentive individuals. I cannot for the life of me understand why we're all in this singlehood boat, but I'm glad to have y'all with me. :)

:moonstars: Currently I am choosing to be single. I always jumped from serious relationship to serious relationship, I never got the chance to date around. ^_^ And I'm finally getting to have my fun and enjoy myself. I'm not completely shut off to the idea of finding a serious relationship, it's just not top priority like it used to be, and I'm being very honest with myself and the other person. Am I really attracted to this person, or am I doing this because they looked my way kind of thing. I have a lil bit of Ugly Duckling syndrome. ^_^

Good call!! I'm doing the same over here. After I posted that thought, a friend of mine put up a long blog post about how rude it is to say that since it is implying that there's something wrong with a person who is single.

Well, let me just say that is not at all what i meant. i was trying to say that everyone I talk to here is wonderful and when they are ready for a relationship, whomever they choose as their partner will be lucky indeed. :)
