Good Morning Ms. Dark,

So do I. I can honestly say, I am a music junkie. I grew up listening to Hank Williams Sr, thanks to my dad. By the time I was 13, I was listening to The Cure and then started listening to Motley Crue<which I have seen twice, woohoo>..I have since started listening to Reggaeton<PitBull>, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, A Perfect Circle and so on. My iPhone and iPod are filled with music....

How are you this morning?

Zimmy

it is funny to me that "Musicman" provides breakfast and freyja, who everybody knows is a kitchen wench times a hundred, provides music!

Good morning kitchen dwellers :)

:bringcoffee: Coffee and :tea: is on...and I'm loading up the table for Sunday brunch....blueberry pancakes and waffles with real maple syrup...scrambled eggs with minced ham, cheddar cheese, onion, and green pepper...or eggs cooked to order if you don't like them scrambled with all the stuff. We've also got my famous homemade hash browns (nice and crisp), bacon and patty sausage and biscuits with country gravy. On the lighter side we've got fresh melon salad with watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe and some sliced fresh pineapple as well. Dig in!

Yesterday at the festival was lovely...baby alpacas, lambs to pet, shearing of sheep and alpacas, feeding the chickens and my son (and 70 year old mother) zooming down the hillside on ziplines. He did pass on the pony rides though...guess that's not cool anymore at the ripe old age of 12.

Hope you all are having a lovely, relaxing Sunday. I'm headed to the shower and a little tidy up before the open house sign goes out to the road. :rrose:

:lips: baby....I love you :stillheart:

Hey it's time for some late day coffee to keep this weary gal on her feet and standing for a few more hours.
Strong dark brown go-go juice - yep that's what i need.

i couldn't make it in this morning and hope to be up bright and early tomorrow.

For those that might be needing a late day snack (I promise it won't interfere with your dinner!)
Have some of this banana bread :)

Good evening everyone,

Hope you all had a good day. I took Elijah out for a twenty minute walk after dinner and split a cup of Jello pudding afterwards. I swept and mopped the floors and now I am relaxing.

Thanks for the delicious bread, Freyja!

I think Woodie is a she, not a he...but that's just my opinion :giggle:

Braedon, glad to hear you're recovering. You take it easy and rest!

Good evening everyone...hope you had a good day!

Since it's Memorial Day I'm thinking :bbq: is in order again....hamburgers, cheeseburgers, some nice BBQ chicken that I've been marinating all afternoon plus corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans (risky with Scoote :fart: but we're outside so probably alright!)...deviled eggs, green salad....anyone need anything else?

Of course :bringcoffee: a fresh pot to go with strawberry shortcake...and chocolate chip cookies warm out of the oven for those who prefer a little chocolate. :winky:

:lips: baby...yes, I meant you.

Aww thanks man, this is perfect considering its hard for Me to lay down for to long or My stomach likes to yell at Me. Because of the muscles starting to heal, it pulls alot if I stand up or if I dont have something bunched up under My stomach for it to rest on. I'm SO damn glad that My staples are coming out tomorrow, because they are pulling on the skin too and that just burns :(

I'll cover up with a blanket, hold a nice firm pillow over My tummy and watch tv with everyone

Good Morning Everyone,

It appears that everyone is sleeping in, since it is a holiday here in the States...

For breakfast, I am going to splurge...Let's see, how about some Belgium waffles, fresh whipped cream, strawberries, cherries, blueberries, eggs<any style>, cheese for the eggs, Canadian bacon, orange juice, plenty of coffee<decaf, regular and extremely potent>, milk<all types>, Pepsi for Braedon, Dr. Pepper for Scoote and crispy hashbrowns for Jo Jo...

For the music?

Good morning, kitchen dwellers (f)

Jo - How was the open house? Any news to report?

chris - It's nice to meet another Irish boi! My husband is 100% Irish descent and we would love to come and visit Ireland some day when our daughter is older :)

Mr. Strutt has to work today, but hy'll be home at 3:30, so I think I'm going to surprise hym with some baby-backs on the grill. The princess and I have to run a few errands, but other than that...it's sun, fun and pool for us today.

Have a lovely day, beautiful people!

Good morning kitchen dwellers!

:bringcoffee: Wow...I wake up to a beautiful breakfast on the beach! Thank you Zimmy and morningstar...so sweet of you both.

Mrs. Strutt...sounds like you have wonderful plans for the day...enjoy the sun and fun! :bbq: Unfortunately yesterday's open house efforts were a big ol' zero, but we're trying again today.

I did break all the rules in the real estate universe and call one couple that had come to look at the house 3 times. They're local business owners, and the realtor was saying they love the house but were worried about the street being too busy (two lanes, but pretty constant traffic). Anyway...I called, we talked....and they're considering renting the house to see how they really feel about the reality of the street and the house...kind of a "try it before you buy it" situation. We'll see...

Good Morning Jo Jo,

Thank you for breakfast! Glad to hear you are feeling better and hopefull those ppl will rent the house from you. I bought some fresh blueberries and strawberries at the grocery store lastnight and I cannot wait to have a few of them.

How was your Memorial Day? I had a lot of fun, we tried to BBQ before the rain hit us and it rained all night after it did start. I slept like a baby listening to the rain hit the roof.

Have fun today,

Zimmy

I hope you all have a wonderful day :)

Good evening kitchen dwellers :)

:bringcoffee: Hope everyone had a good day today!

My sweetie has to work a double shift today (poor thing)....so I decided on pot roast...it just keeps getting better the longer it simmers, so it'll be yummy by the time she gets home. Homemade biscuits to sop up the gravy...and a nice salad just because. :eating:

Nice chocolate cake for dessert...and coffee or :tea: of course!

Best of luck on your business venture Mrs. Strutt. Can you tell us about it or would that be premature? Scoote and I have one in the works once I get down there as well...can't wait to get started. :)

:lips: baby...wish I could be there to help you! :stillheart:

Zimmeh 06-02-2010 08:36 AM

For brunch this morning, how about some nice fresh fruit, pancakes, Belgium waffles, crispy hashbrowns, bread for sandwiches, lunch meat, cheese, virgin Mimosas, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, juice, milk and coffee<decaf, regular and extremely strong>.

Mrs. Strutt 06-02-2010 08:53 AM

Good morning, kitchen dwellers (f)

Thank you for the site link, Zimmy...I will be sure to take a long look at it! Mr. Strutt and I wear traditional wedding bands, but I have always thought about having claddagh rings for our right hands even though I am not Irish myself. My dad's surgery is not until June 23, so we are still waiting, but I very much appreciate you asking after him (f)

Jo, I am looking at developing another online site for curly hair education, but with a different focus and intent than my current one. I am very excited and believe there is great potential with it :)

Our annual beauty industry hair show is this weekend in Orlando...lots of education classes, stages, models, runways, product manufacturers and about 40,000 hairdressers, nail techs and estheticians running around berserk, sort of like a huge rock concert for beauty :) I always look forward to it although I am completely exhausted by the time I get home.

Have a wonderful day!

scootebaby 06-02-2010 09:10 AM

hello kitcheneers....glad to see ppl starting to slowly get back from holiday....im drag assing today after a 14 hr day yesterday and about 3 hrs sleep b4 being back at it today.....i swear the younger generation (at least here) are just plain sad..no work ethic,no pride--just give me give me give me........then to call out of work bc ur constipated...REALLY???????? ugh anyway c'est la vie

just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a happy hump day.

Zimmeh 06-02-2010 09:10 AM

Good Morning Mrs. Strutt,

You are welcome...My mom owns her own hair salon in New Smyrna Beach, she took me to the Hair show several years ago. I had a lot of fun and learned quite a bit about the cosmetology industry. That is where I picked up my fave shampoo, Redken's Smooth Down. I can honestly say, it works.

The site is awesome and I am thinking of ordering my oldest niece a Claddagh ring with her birthstone in it for her tenth birthday. I bought her one at Piercing Pagoda, but I don't like the workmanship.

Have fun at the hair show! Watch out for the crazy drivers on I-Drive..

Good morning...oops...afternoon everyone! :)

I had a conference call with the BIG bosses today to give a progress report (and got told "great work"....yippee!) and another call at 2...so I'm zooming around.

The website sounds like a great idea Mrs. Strutt....of course, I won't be visiting (sob)...I have thin, fine, straight (and not enough) hair.... (w)

K...gotta zoom, but I'll be back...have a great day everyone....and has anyone seen Musicman? He vanished again!

:lips: baby....rest when you can. I love you. :stillheart:
