I bored, can't sleep and my mind is wandering. I think pretty darn soon, I'll try reading until my eyes get tired. Sometimes I could get half way through a book before that happens. I just hope that's not the case tonight.

I've been pretty good to myself lately and I like that feeling. Others have been pretty good to me lately too. I wish life could feel this nice all the time.

I went to bed last night after watching a little bit of Anderson Cooper's coverage of Haiti. My woes and struggles are absolutely NOTHING when I see what those poor people are dealing with. I thanked God for my life as I curled up in bed with my two dogs to go to sleep.
On a good note out of that report last night. Two sisters from Pittsburg that run an orphanage in Haiti were granted permission to fly 150 orphans to Pittsburg to be taken care of. Granted, that is not even an 8th of the orphans in Haiti from BEFORE this disaster, but it is something. A glimmer of hope for that handful of small children. |

I don't know why it bothers me so much when people on my facebook page....people I grew up with or some of my local friends....say "you go girl" or "good luck girl", or "you are one crazy girl". I just shudder at that whole "girl" thing. ugh. :beerfunnel:

Baby steps! I ordered the brochure from ITT Tech today! Now to figure out which courses I want to take and start the application process and work on financial aid.

I'm thinking it's so funny that friends I used to beg to come visit me in Atlanta, can't wait to come because of The Advocate naming Atlanta the gayest city. Here's a little tidbit.....

ez made some amazing banana bread with chocolate chips and pecans--i would like another piece but it's in the kitchen and i can't risk waking the dogs.
also, poor ez has a flu/cold/thing and a fever of 99 degrees. i hate him being sick, he doesn't want me hovering and hates soup. without soup making and/or hovering i'm at a loss as to what my possible role could be. not sure if i'm going to be able to memorize everything i'll need to for A and P. i shouldn't have had coffee this evening. oh and i'm not being passive aggressive but someone was a real jerk when i extended myself the *last* time and they ignored me, and i did nothing besides be a good friend and they chose to just throw our friendship away for no good reason. (this is a real, live actual person and not a member) |
