One of the things I’ve come to miss is a nice rainfall. Usually when it rains in Southern California it’s a disaster with mud slides, landslides, floods, and lots of car accidents from the rain causing the oil to come to the surface of the road.

We don’t have those problems, or not nearly as bad, near Lake Michigan.

Am really looking forward to getting a few days of rain without the anxiety and heartache of seeing people lose property or lives

It's the right time of year. Some spring thunderstorms should be coming. Best sleep I get all year, hands down.

I’m looking forward to the cheesecake in the fridge.....yum!

I'm looking forward to spending all weekend with my Mom! We will cook together, and sit around and drink coffee and chat. We'll probably go into town for dinner or lunch at least a couple of times. My sister is going to come over too, on Sunday. We will probably go meet my niece's new dog, Fred - he's supposed to be a hoot. We might shop for dog toys and treats first, as gifts - he is getting to be one spoiled dog.

My upcoming doctors appointment tomorrow, since there was a cancellation. I haven't seen a doctor in over a year and my health is not good..

A brighter tomorrow for everyone.

I am looking forward to my sister coming over today so we can go grocery shopping together - it has been a minute since we have gone together - it is always an experience. ;)

as a side note: she is also bringing me homemade lasagna and chocolate chip cookies. In a word: Score!

Looking foward to-

Son stopping by after work to fix the television. Amazon Video upgraded things. There's no problem at his house but mine didn't take well to the changes at all. He says I need some part to make this old fashioned television set spring back to life, run full speed ahead. Old fashioned? He just bought this set around a year ago I think, definitely less than two. How long do they keep these things out on the front shelves or back in storage anyway?

I'm also looking forward to Easter. It will be my youngest grandson's first. So tired though. Well I saw a three pack of giant Easter eggs – one gold, one silver, one bronze. As to who gets which I'll do it like anniversaries oldest to youngest. Stuff a little money, some pastel Easter color wrapped Hershey's kisses in and call it a day. Just relax, eat drink and be merry while I watch the boys hunt eggs. Being a grandma is so fun. And relaxing.

Just got off Skype with the little one and family and am looking forward to lunch with them tomorrow.

A better day than yesterday...

Warmer weather so I can get outside and start putting in flower beds and plant a small raised platform garden - just making the outside of the townhouse look good.

Getting my vaccine tomorrow and a 3-day weekend! I may hide my work laptop, because I don't want to see it or think about it.

A road trip this coming week to my beloved NC. My daughter and her husband bought a house and I’m going to see it for the first time.

AND (insert excititated sounds here) I’m going to put eyeballs on a property that we are THIS CLOSE to buying in the mountains of western NC!!!
Even if it’s just for vacations for now, I’ll be a happy girl ❤️

Well that was a flop! Rained all the way there. Turned off cold, much to cold for the Crappie to bite and windy as gee whiz. Then there was a sewer issue at the rental and I had to come home early
Because nobody could come fix it til Monday. Who could hold their bodily functions for 3 days right? So yep came home. The lady did refund most of my money.

Some sleep would be nice. I have not had any since yesterday.

Oddly enough, I'm looking forward to my chemo treatment on Monday. The treatment itself is not fun, and neither are the aftereffects, but my sister takes me to the appointment and that is the fun part. We chat and snack and chat some more for eight whole hours. She is the best!

Like someone mentioned earlier - sleep. None at all yesterday and only an hour this afternoon. I'm forcing myself to stay up so I can get back on track.

Crawfish boil this weekend! its our 14th!

I will be out on acres of property with friends,cold drinks and hot crawfish

and my dog gets to socialize more, thankfully they have a covered dog run, she can hang out in, if she gets overwhelmed, she is a rescue who was abused, so she needs space sometimes!

Hope I can get down eastern Canada this summer but it sure does not look like it. My brother and I speak about going together but the virus has other ideas. Oh well, patience is a virtue I try to hold on to concerning many things.

A short trip to Helen, a small Alpine-themed village in the north Georgia mountains. It's something of a tourist trap, but it has some great beer and good food. It's nearby, and the boy and I will be post-two weeks from our second vaccine shots. I am dying to go _somewhere_!

Walk tomorrow. Yesterday we started out on the opposite side of the park than we usually do and what a difference. The far end should be forced to have signs up that tell it like it is – Hikers Heaven, Joggers Hell. Then at my newly discovered end of the park signs that encourage by actually telling the truth – Walking Path.

Anyhow it's beautiful. There's a community rec center, not open now but will be soon and they have activities there like cards games, pool shoots and things. The pathways are level and easy. Everything is cleaner, there are chair bench swings under trees for shade so if you need to take a break you can have a seat and look out on the river, read or just rest.

I had a nice chat with a young woman out walking her puppy yesterday and enjoyed hearing children in the background on the play equipment laughing. We're taking a picnic tomorrow and this will be our new starting point. J and the baby can go ahead and when I'm done there will be more for me to do than just sit out on hot metal benches under glaring sun, baking my ass off, and trying to read in the wind.

Breakfast tomorrow with my older son, family gathering at my younger son's house this weekend.

I must sound like a broken record by now (laughing).. but I am looking forward to going over to hang with My sister tomorrow. Her fiance is going to a fishing tournament I believe - so My sis and I are going to just chill - and maybe grill something or order pizza or whatever. I also think we are going to go through the photo albums and picture boxes that My Mom had. I want to do a family wall in My living room - and My sister wants to add to hers - so we will do that - and then take the ones we want to Walmart to have them enlarged or whatever.

Tomorrow also looks good for weather as well - around 77 degrees with a small breeze - we can chill on her front deck in big deck rocking chairs that Mike (her fiance) just got her for her birthday/Mother's day last month.
