Good morning everyone :)

:bringcoffee: Coffee is on, and I have some lovely toasted asiago cheese bread from Panera with butter melting on top to go with it. There's more if anyone wants a slice (or three).

My mom is feeling a lot better thanks to the IV nutrition and pain killers and such. Thank you for asking, Zimmy. :rrose: It looks like she will be having surgery either Tuesday or Wednesday to have an ileostomy....and then they still have to figure out what to do about her non-functioning kidney. Luckily, we only need one of those to live, so it's less critical. So, she'll be in the hospital for a bit longer, but she's very impressed with them and says they're taking great care of her.

We're being lazy here today....I slept in until 9:30 :cheer:, and Rooster didn't get up until after 10. I think that's the latest he's ever slept. The Prince and Scoote are still snoozing. She's had to work the last two nights and, even though she's not lifting anything over 10 lbs. all of the quick movement and being busy is rough on her....so I'm glad she's resting.

Later today we'll have to flip a coin to either do the beach or our Old Navy shopping. They're having a $6 sale....shorts, tees, polos, etc. are all $6 each....so we'll be getting the boys (and maybe us too) some new summer clothes. Rooster especially is in need since he's growing so fast. The shorts he has now are all getting a little tight and a little short. :giggle:

Too bad you have to work this weekend, but that paycheck will feel nice! And I'm sure you'll have fun taking the kids swimming Friday. :)

You are welcome!!! That Old Navy sale sounds dangerous to me... I am work today until 2pm and then I'm headed home to clean and take a nap. I had to wake up at 4am this morning and I'm dragging butt.

How about some pancakes and coffee for breakfast? I am not sure why, but I have been craving pancakes the last few days...I had black eyed peas and turnip greens with fresh Italian bread from Publix for dinner the other night. Guess, my body is saying that I am missing some vitamins?

Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day today! I am thinking of maybe stopping by Publix on my way into work and picking up some cupcakes for work tonight?

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day! I spent the day at work and it was slow. Me and the lady I worked with, ended up cleaning our office and doing stretching exercises.

I am thinking of eggs, turkey bacon and whole wheat toast for breakfast this morning.

We had an odd and busy weekend, and I don't feel as rested as I'd like, but hey....at least it's a short work week! The pool yesterday was fabulous....I really should be in it every day at this time of year....soooooo relaxing. Although, I forgot the sunscreen and got a little pink...oops!

Rooster is on a serious count down to the end of school. He's done really well this year, and is trying hard to make a strong finish, but I can tell he's getting tired and is ready for that summer break. I wish I still got one too! How great would it be to have summer vacation every year again?

Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday! It was slow at work lastnight, so I found several historical articles on Theodore Roosevelt and read them for almost two hours. I am going to be taking a book with me tonight. I am starting to do stretches in my cubicle.

I am thinking of a light breakfast this morning. How about some Special K cereal, nonfat milk, coffee and juice?

:bringcoffee: Coffee is on, and I'm still working on truly waking up. Stepped into a mini-disaster at work as soon as I turned my computer on. Got it straightened out, but it's frustrating to see my boss say one thing, do another, and then reverse it later. It adds so much work and stress unnecessarily.

Talked to my mother last night (daily event with her in the hospital), and she's finally clear on the fact that this is major surgery and not a stroll in the park. She's also done her will....which needed to be done for a whole variety of reasons. It's a good thing, but also a bit of a :blink: feeling as well...

Sounds like the job is going well Zimmy....and doing stretches at work is a great idea...it's so much better for you than just sitting the whole shift. Bravo! :rrose:

Well, I'm back to the coffeepot...and then hitting my "to do" list for work. Have a great day everyone! :gimmehug:

Hope you all had a good Hump Day. I am not awake yet, so I am guessing my body hasn't adjusted to my new work schedule. I should have my own room by June 11th, and I am looking forward to it. Matt and I found an apartment for the same amount of square footage as the other two bedroom apartment for $800 a month instead of $980. I cannot wait to get my own place again.

Breakfast is whatever you all want, I am thinking of going back to bed!

:bringcoffee: Coffee is on, the kids are at school, Scoote is snoozing, and I've got my feet up. I took the day off work...much needed...and intend to be somewhat lazy, somewhat productive....although I'm still debating what the productive part will look like.

Thank you Lady P....her surgery is set for "late" (but no specific time) today. It's major, but she's tough....so I'm sure it will all be fine. In any case, it isn't optional, so there we are. :rrose:
