Update on Baby Corbin
Thank you for all the energy and added thoughts and light.
Baby Corbin was finally able to come home and is doing pretty good. He left the hospital at 6 lbs. And no oxygen...smiles He still has a few issues eating can only eat 1 1/2 ounce to 2 ounces at a time before hes exhausted and still has a lil issue holding heat. But other than that hes doing awesome! Thank you so much for your prayers, light and thoughts, and energy. Namaste . |

It is no secret, to those that know me, that my parents and I have a somewhat estranged relationship. If pressed, I would describe it as an uneasy truce, however, that does not mean that I wish harm to come to them. Several months ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time of her diagnosis it was discovered that it had metastasized to her spine. After several rounds of different medications, they finally hit upon one that seemed to be working. Her tumors began shrinking and the cancer markers in her blood were decreasing. Recently the medication stopped working, and they found that the tumors in his spine were returning, and had spread to her hip. This past week she had a port put in and began aggressive chemotherapy. Yesterday I went to visit her, and the chemo is taking its toll. She is very weak, sick, and in a lot of pain.

Today, I light a candle for my friend, Mike Dobbins, Artistic Director of Heartland Theatre Company, who passed away a few days ago after a sudden illness.
He gave me my first professional stage managing gig back in 2005 when I staged managed that summer's 10 Minute Play Festival - The Attic Plays (I worked several other shows there, but that was the first). Working that show and with Mike taught me a lot about the business, about flexibility, and about how to prepare for everything while being ready for all of it to go haywire. This year's 10 Minute Play Festival just finished a couple of weeks ago and, to be honest, while I wanted to go, I hadnt really planned on going - it's more than 2 hours round trip from here and 3/4 of a tank of gas - but something nudged me and nudged me and I went to see the show. I got to talk with Mike a little during intermission (what I call halftime lol) and then after the show we talked some more. We laughed about how I still use that play festival as an anecdote when talking about interesting shows - how there was more than one instance when we didnt have enough people for a scene change, so I would climb up into the booth, start the music for the scene change, run down the ladder and back stage to help move around set pieces and then run back up into the booth before the music ran out. During one of those pieces, they even needed me back stage for sounds - not sound cues, but actual sounds of feet stomping and people talking - so I ran down from the booth in between light cues to do all of that lol. We laughed as we remembered all of that. We also chatted about his upcoming one-acts that he directed and about the possibility of working together again. I feel very fortunate that someone somewhere saw fit to nudge me into going to see the show because not only did I enjoy myself, but I got to see Mike again and while neither of us would have thought to say goodbye (his passing was sudden), I am glad that I at least had the opportunity to shake his hand and share a laugh or 3 just one more time. But I also feel sadness at the loss of such a wonderful man, a wonderful soul; and my heart goes out to Gail Dobbins who has lost a husband, a friend, and a partner in Heartland Theatre - she and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. He just crashed his dirt bike and is being rushed off in an ambulance. For my sister to keep her calm while they check him out. Don't worry sis he will be alright...he has to be alright. For me so that I can focus on sending my energy to him I ask for calm and the belief in the above sentences. To anyone that sees this I ask for healing light to be sent to my little man and guiding white light to the doctors that will be tending to him.... Blessed Be |

Soul Healing I ask this prayer be directed to those who are wanting and needing deep seeded, life altering healing and change. May the Great Spirit, Wise ones, and spirit guides bless and protect this journey for all seeking it. May that which is needed to heal and grow for this life as well as all others, be presented with love and light to each of us at this time in the name of healing. May this lifetime be blessed with insight and wisdom to help alter whats to come. May health be brought to the physical body to endure and absorb the healing process for all yet to come. May mental health issues subside and heal to be able to handle all that to come. May healing of love and relationship issues be healed as well. In order to deepen and grow healthy love relationships from this time forth. And may those around us also flow through this journey and grow with us. So our loved ones can progress with us. I ask this for myself, for my children and granchildren, siblings and those who are connected to me in my life. I am asking a huge request for very close and dear friend and adopted family member, Pat. Who went in for a shoulder repair and came out with a colapesed lung, total side paralisis, they also found an enlarged heart and because Pat was laid frontal Hy's lung collapsed. Some feeling has returned to leg was my last update. Please send energy and prayers to Hym. He means so very much to our family. And helps so many others freely.
