Finaly a decent good nap with out someone calling on the phone or knocking on the door or mowing the grass(yes we can still cut gras),then a real good shower.

Oatmeal.
OK, that sounds strange. But I hate oatmeal. It's mushy and flavorless and, well, unappetizing. But a friend recently introduced me to Irish oatmeal. It's steel cut so it has more body and texture than that instant stuff. I tried a recipe I found online that uses cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg and a dash of brown sugar as well as toasted nuts... yum! I smiled so big. Warm, healthy breakfast and mostly guilt free. Whee!!! :) |
On my long evening walk with the dog... finding fresh deer tracks all around my pond and watching tiny birds gathering berries. Standing by a glass still, crystal clear pond, thinking about going skinny dippin next summer at sunset. :)

My girl's voice and laughter. I always look forward to seeing the twinkle in her eye and the smile on her lips. I am so lucky.

Playing 'tug o' war' with My ferret wrestling over my hiking boot for the first time in Months...
He refused to let go, so I dragged the boot lightly, he tugged back with a hard shake of his head {uff, predators}, I lifted the shoe a little, he held on with limp body, strong jaw, impressive fangs, tail slightly wags {rare, but fuggin' cute}... When he'd let go, I'd wait while he found a better spot to gnaw... From time to time, he'd bounce all over the place 'war dancing', this showed me he's back to his old self, he went from very 'slender poodle ferret" {he lost fur from adrenal in most parts of his body, his spine had fur and his head and paws....kinda mohawk}, to very thick fur, light cinnamon almost champagne so far {he used to be chocolate} and he's gaining weight, fast, far more active.... But, still a cuddle monster. Therefore... :D |

Feeling better after last night, that was yucky
My girl, always! Getting an I love you from the teenager. A cooperative teenaged boy helping out his Momma and giving me some peace of mind. The pups newest trick, she sits on her bottom and puts her front paws up like a toddler, when she wants to be picked up and carried to bed. |
Completing my first decent sewing project. They are just pillowcases, but the seams are mostly straight and they're actually usable, so I'm quite happy. :thumbsup:

Getting to sub on a team for the gay boys bowling league tonite. The gay boys rock that house!!
Knowing it's less than 24 hrs before I see and smell hym again! Getting a text asking "dammit babygirl, why can't you jut come crawl in next to me tonite?" :) Man o man....What I'd give for that tonite!!!! Oh and bowling three so so games: 110, 132 and 155. Not too bad for using a new ball. Had a lot of things that made me smile today but ima save those as they're a lil personal. ;) |

Watching the Christmas tree twinkle with its lights and decorations and just having good memories of my mom baking tons of the most delicious Sugar cookies ever and beneath the tree over flowing with silly little gifts, big gifts and everything in between because she loved giving for Christmas so much.. I remember times of laughing as i opened and unwrapped a 24 pack of mt Dew or another soft drink and thinking how silly mom is.. *sighs* those were good times.. i miss them.

Deep-fried Oreo cookie goo...
Word of advice for the adventurous foody... If you want to deep-fry something that has a creamy center, said something should be frozen before attempting to fry. Otherwise, goo escapes and disappears in the oil before the batter can cook. Just sayin' ... tis the season for odd food experiments :) |
