All of these were banned at some point for profanity, racial slurs, and/or sex.

Incidentally, even mentioning or referencing the Bible is illegal in Arizona schools, not under "separation of church and state" things but because it teaches the superiority of the Jewish people! Oh, and because Jesus was buddies with twelve men and exactly one woman, he's not such a hot role model either. However, it's still the authority on homosexuality, illegal immigration, etc. Your tax dollars at work.

I know little of how classical music is arranged; most of my knowledge is "I like that" ;) So, here goes:

Schumann, Piano Quintet in E Minor (but anything of his)
Debussy, String Quartet op. 10
Grieg, String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 27

In reality, all of these composers are my very favorites, even if I can't name a piece offhand (or I know it from Bugs Bunny ;)).

  • try to say thank you or tell people I appreciate them or their deeds
  • do things to try to make people's lives easier, usually without ever mentioning I did it
  • recall what I am thankful for in my prayers each night
