Those shows are all interesting. I know people put down those shows or smirk at them but they do serve a purpose, whether therapeutic or inspirational.

I live up north on an island in the Atlantic. Summer is usually a breeze here....pun intended. I like it cuz I hate the heat and we get little heat compared to the rest of the country. The hell on earth heat wave has arrived here this morning. Temps expected in the 90's (huh?) with heat index in the low hundreds ( double huh?). So, it's making me wonder, has anyone ever actually tried frying an egg on the sidewalk? And at what temperature does human skin actually boil? |

I was picking my way across these really hurtful river rocks yesterday in the Ossippee and, being the chronic klutz I am, I fell hard on my butt and it hurt like hell.
There were, like, 15 other people on the river and of course no one else fell--just me. I can't tell you how many times I have done something similar in front of a crowd, to hear people yell, Are you okay?? Adding insult to injury, they sometimes yell, Is she okay?? :poc-angry: |

I wonder if other people's dress choices are dictated by:
1) Pockets B) cotton III) light colors 4) slevelessness and E) when all is said and done, Pockets!! these criteria apply to dresses worn in the house, as well as out into the world...thus resulting in me having to change (like) 5 times already today... I had to search in drawers not opened since the winter to find the perfect dress for wearing inside today since I am planning a day of being home and not venturing into the world filled with strangers...or stores...or other outside things...still, I couldn't find what to wear...untill I did and now I am happy...and comfortable...and lookin' cute... ahhhhh the joys of being vapid... |

I watched Obama's last speech to the nation about the budget deficit and the looming credit crisis. I listened to the Republican rebuttal. I can't decide who was more annoying. I do know I want to slap both of them upside the head cuz my refinancing is pending and they might mess it up. This is not acceptable. |

Was talking to the banker about refinancing my mortgage. Asked him how stable the interest rates are. His response - "Rates have been relatively stable, but when things are this low, anything can make them bounce up, like a federal default, Greece going bankrupt, Ireland taking over all banks, a terror act, etc etc." :seeingstars: Life has become so internationally complicated. |

someone's generosity made my day
After picking 6 or 7 huge buckets full of green tomatoes...thanks to the generosity of a friend's parents who granted access to their garden ...I'll be making my Green Tomato Verde Salsa tomorrow!!! *happy dance* ... I've waited all year for this!! I know several friends here have been waiting on me to send them more "care packages" of my salsa!! :cheesy: I can't wait!!
I always appreciate the generosity of a farmer/gardener. Their gift today will make many people very happy. Just like their fresh homegrown fruit did when I shared it with a needy family today. Never take generosity for granted... and always pay it forward. |

Damn! And here I thought I was cool cause back when I was a teenager I would flip upside down when it started going. (Although you had to either flip back around before it stopped or do a hand-stand, otherwise you would faceplant the floor...lol)
