shhhhhh don't tell anyone but I would love to have wedding band tats for DW and myself. our one year wedding thingy is close at hand and we like many other couples did not have the traditional ring exchange at our ceremony. so it would be nice to finally seal the deal, lol

I'm not a big gift receiver..I love giving gifts though. What this time of year brings for me is peace, love, and yes good will to men. I am content with having those I love happy and safe. To be surrounded by all I love.

I have what my heart desires...I am happy and loved more than I could have ever asked or dreamed. The only thing I could possibly ask for is the whole family (mine and grens) to be together on this day. However, that can not happen this year due to many things. Perhaps, one of these years *grins*

I really want for nothing. I would like to see world peace, eradicate hunger, and people to be kind to one another.
All I wish for, and will have, when the universe is ready to present that, is a love of my own.
Til then I am content for the most part with what I have and where I am in life. Life does get lonely, but I am patient. I refuse to just settle.
So I wish for everyone to have a wonderful and peaceful holiday season...

I have to add to my list...I really really want one of those lil carpet cleaners that clean pet mess. It circulates over their accident and cleans it all out of the carpet. Lord how i want one!!!

LadyRieinAL 11-24-2012 10:28 PM

To be able to wake up and there be that special someone in my bed to cuddle up next to and to hear them say, I love you, Baby.

I'm thankful to the Powers that Be that one day, in perfect timing, this will happen. Soon :praying:

Snow (and ice) is something I dread at Christmas, primarily due to the travel chaos it causes. My first year in London was 2009 and was looking forward to travelling back home on Christmas Eve, only for my flight to be cancelled and, with no flights on Christmas Day, unable to get back home until 26th Dec and, thus, spending Christmas alone in London.

For me, I want to go home for Christmas and I will be, subject to that dastardly snow. I usually go home every six weeks to two months but haven't been back for almost four months due to extensive travel and work commitments recently.

Spending time with my parents and friends back home is, to me, priceless. It's also something I don't take for granted, esp. as my parents continue to age.

Other highlights for me are:

- My friend coming over from San Diego for the period, to spend time in Belfast and London. She lost her mother this year so we thought it would be good for her to spend time with her "Irish family" (she gets on exceptionally well with my parents).

- The opportunity to "do nothing" for a few days.

- Watching the Christmas special of Downton Abbey on Christmas Day. My heart beating every time I see Violet Crawley on the screen makes me feel like a giddy teenager all over again .........

WolfyOne 11-25-2012 07:43 AM

Christmas isn't my holiday, but I like to celebrate it with those that celebrate it.

Honestly, the only thing I could possibly want is to be happy and not alone.
I know in time, it'll happen, just not this year.

The last time any holiday was a festive occasion, I was with chosen family and their family opened their hearts to me which made me open mine back to them.
