Well the storm blew out the florescent lights in the kitchen, but everything else seems fine. It is raining like crazy now and there is plenty of thunder and lightning, but they say the tornado warning is over!

But this evening, the sun came out. It's not warm, yet not too cool, yet it could be warmer. I do love the hot sun. it's still in the mid 40s at night; during the day, it's about mid-50s. |
It's raining here today. It was nice to wake up to the sound of it. My dogs don't like walking in it, however.

I can see the smoke rising from the neighbor's house across the street, pregnant kitty from my old apt found me again, she was on my patio deck this morning (I'm three flights up in the trees here), and "Tommy" the brindle (a beautiful female dog) who used to live next door to me was outside barking at me a few moments ago :stillheart: High: lower 50s Low: lower 40s |

Hot Houston!
Well......Yesterday they said we had a heat index of 101 if your IN THE SHADE! So if your standing in the sun, heat index would be around 110-115!, oh such lovely weather.
think the actual temp was 96. More of the same today, ughhhhhhhhhh. Hot Damn! |

Something unsettling about turning on the tv to find tornados have touched down in 6-9 areas in central Mass.... 2 in the city of Springfield. Severe weather alerts being issued for different areas in Mass and R.I. Weird and unusual for us. Hurricane season should be a freakin trip this year. |

We had a brief rainfall last night. Today and the rest of the week promise to be humid and hot. Hot. And. HUMID. Blech.
Heading outside to shock the pool and do some weedeating and plant a couple shade lovers. Trying to do outdoor chores piecemeal is less satisfying than tackling and completing it, but when the weather is like this, it's all anyone can do to break it up a bit! Smokin hot,the weatherman said 97 ...I have no idea what the heet index is prolly over 100.When I worked out this morning it was 93..I took it easy.

To Flippin hot for me.......I've been under a blanket, propped up kinda sorta on the couch blasting the a/c.....i've had about 6 naps too.
I just told the cat we should move to bed.......he didn't move. weather man said 88 today and 91 tomorrow. (too hot, normal temp is 77):confused: |

We still are in a massive extreme drought and getting 101 degree weather for the last 3 days..no sign of rain until maybe next Tuesday. And we are getting big grass fires around town. It's miserable. ughhhhh. I can only recall 3 rains this year.
We need a tropical storm or something. I don't know how outdoor workers are doing it around here . |

Its so many days of tripple didgit weather, I cant remember how many but today it was 108 of one news chanel and 109 an another but agree on the 115 with the index added.I am not going out unless its totaly nessary,its just way to hot.
