A.N. Roquelaure

was reading it, now having it read to me.
completely taking it to a whole new level of a delicious read.

i am so impressed

mein meerschweinchen i <3 immanuel birmelin.

most of the books i have ever picked up to browse through about cavies are not a very good source of information for living with a small animal-friend. this one is entirely different, refreshing, and story-telling! there are fun questions/answers and for each new chapter, a few sentences on tips about health, housing, nutrition, play, communication, et c. this is the best book that i've ever found guinea-pig related thus far - but i have not completed mine yet! ;)
i love the pages full of colour, cuteness overload, and mainly, huge respect for guinea pigs who have specific needs in some areas more than others. he sees their little free spirits and how there is a lot going on inside of their mind [despite people thinking they are boring and lacking intelligence/trainability]. he dispells those myths! oh, this book smells nice too.

Nev heard about it, but it sounded like a cool event. I read in public all the time. I take a book everywhere. I like to leave the books behind after I finish, so another can find the joy.

I am curious. Have you read "The Marketplace Series"? I am a huge fan of both Anne Rice and Laura Antoniou and have wondered what other people think of the two series-assuming they have read them both.

LaneyDoll 05-11-2011 07:04 AM

I am reading "Stone Butch Blues" by Leslie Feinberg. I received it a few weeks ago and honestly thought I would be finished with it by now. But, I also ordered seven books of short stories (lesbian erortica) that have been taking all of my reading time. I have been reading bedtime stories to a girl I am dating and I must admit, it is really sweet to read someone to sleep-even across the miles.

I am reading Dreams From My Father by President Obama. It is assigned reading for a summer course I am taking and I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, but I am somewhat in love with his writing style! It's always nice when I become enchanted with required readings :)
