I had fresh corn salad with epazote, a Mexican herb, a grilled chicken/artichoke sausage from Aidell with homemade Indian lime pickle, and a glass of chardonnay, and for dessert one of the banana/blueberry yogurt popsicle.

tonight it is a clean the fridge and freezer type of dinner:
medley of raw vegetables with baba ganoush dip (pea pods, jicama and red pepper) grilled chicken/artichoke sausage my favourite spicy eggplant dish from Chinese restaurant, which I took home and froze a while back because portions are so huge banana/blueberry popsicle glass of Chardonnay Elle*, filling freezer with pesto |
Met a freind at El Chile Verde.....chips and salsa was good. the rest was a poor excuse for mexican food. :(

Just had a thrown together taco salad, with feta cheese, avocados, some garlic pepper, ranch and tortilla strips. Turned out to be very yummmmmmy!! :) |

I am meeting a friend so I am not sure, but usually from her place we order from Moustache, a Middle Eastern restaurant in the Village where they make their own pita, the baba ganoush is out of this world, and they have delicious grilled lamb ribs... so, likely! With that a yogurt drink not unlike a salty lhassi....most probably!

Everyones' dinners sound so delicious!
We're splitting a Subway turkey sub on whole wheat with low fat mayo. Maybe a pomegranate fruit bar later on. Weight Watchers is tomorrow morning. :) |

Tonight I am making grilled steak salad with Roquefort, wild greens, pears, and figs (steak is marinating as we speak)
Home made herb bread (it is rising as we speak) and for dessert I totally splurged and bought little French fruit tarts from the gourmet store oh and a bottle of Sebeka Cabernet |
Tonight we will cook on the grill; burgers, fries, baked beans etc. It is my nephew's 15th birthday and that is what he wanted. Then ice cream cake!

Summer = Greek Fest
Mousaka, Spanakopita, Dolmades, Saganaki, Avgolemono...and for dessert, Baklava and Loukoumades. And, we (I) will drink copious amounts of Domestica and a shot or two of Ouzo.

Tonight it's braised short ribs with baby brown mushrooms, carrots, and yukon gold potatoes in a rich red wine reduction, over polenta.

Today its been a cloudy rainy day,so being all I want to do is sleep ona day like this, dinner will be leftovers.

I grilled the Sheephead fish and put the red fish in the freezer.
White rice and sausage. It's a simple dinner but the fish was fresh from todays fishing trip so all is good. |
