Good morning Femmes! Have a fabulous Thursday!!!

|
Hello Femme!!! Its Friday!
|
Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!
|
Anyone besides me do a slight change of clothes shoes, fix hair and makeup, apply jewelry and brush teeth off in the front seat of a parked car???
The struggle. REAL. |
I've been known to do so, absolutely. I envision it like some sort of superhero changeover when needed.

Maybe I'm part superhero, like a demi hero. |

LOL! And yes, it is a struggle! It takes a certain amount of flexibiity and the lighting is sometimes not very good. Good Evening Sister Femmes! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! |
Good evening to my fellow Femmes!
Happy Friday evening and here's to some rest and relaxation. I'm doing a bit of maintenance this evening with a face mask, eyebrows, and will probably work on my manicure. I have recently cut my inch-long nails down and am getting used to having them short for the time being. I'll grow them out again before the Vegas trip but wanted to give them a rest from all the grinding and buffing for a while. Feeling ALL kinds of sparkly lately and hope you all are as well! I am SO looking forward to a little girl time in Vegas! |

Hi Femmes, Happy Saturday!
I think I will buzz up to South Coast Plaza to get a free M.A.C. lipstick today. Even though I don't wear lipstick as a rule, I might find a really pretty shade that I will like. I read that their usual cost for a lipstick is $17! Yikes. You can't beat free! :lips: Have a great day Femmes! :cheer: |

Thank you for the reminder! Will be close enough to Ulta today that we can pop in and see what's left... |

it is torture what i try to do is scrape the heck out of my feet with the callus rasp and then pumice the heck out of them and then use the pumice scrub before i go so that there is nothing for them to do when i get there. Then they just give my feet a perfunctory once-over and move on what i don't like is when they massage my calves because i feel my hairs prickling even if i just shaved. i get embarrassed. I only go about twice a year, i just cut back the growth and fill in the polish every few weeks until i want to change the color. By that time there are layers and layers of polish and paying someone else to remove it works out great for me lol |
Happy Saturday, my Femme Lovelies. :)

See, I'm afraid I would have an uncontrollable reflex and kick someone in the face. I just can't potentially put someone in that position. I squirm just watching other people get pedicures- screaming silently in my head "How do you do that???????" |
UGH i am so backwards.. i have had a ton of pedi's... its a MANI that i have never had!
i want this... http://www.onlinepracticeexam.com/Pi...manicuring.jpg PSA Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful where you go.. doing Reflexology for MANY years seeing way too many people with an icky fungus... It only takes ONE small DOT of a fungus to lingerDrains, on something and the next person gets it. Drains, tubs, tools... you name it... can keep a fungus around and bam it hits someone.... And that is not something you want to deal with. The only way to ensure you will not contract a fungus is to go to a place that still uses basins.. (most beauty schools still do) and that they rinse it out with bleach between clients... |
Fungus among us!
One could also do what I used to while a ICU RN during close contact with molds. I used to wash my hands with a solution of bleach and Soft Soap, paying careful attention to use of the nail scrub brush.
Wouldn't consider it all that safe, but with my OCD it did the trick. Never thought any day was "clean" so bleach became my friend in the post-work shower. Using bleach on any but the smallest area of the body has been determined to be toxic. Just 'cause I was a fool, don't follow me over the cliff. |
Nail care
Since nail care seems to be the theme let me share some of my helpful information that will save you money and hopefully a un-welcomed fungus. Advice from a Cosmetologist... Purchase yourself a nice little tub from whatever store you wish. Get one of those washcloth bundles. Get yourself a BIG bottle of the Yellow Listerine. Yes, it has to be the yellow one. If you have a Sally's beauty supply near by head over there and pick up the green foot scrub by Heel and toe. While there get yourself a pediegg, a couple of orange-wood sticks, a few good files, perhaps some cutical remover cream. The best part is picking out nail polish and the key to polish lasting is a good base coat. Be sure to clean the nail bed with acetone or rubbing alcohol. Now that you have all your fun stuff together. Follow these steps for a fantastic pedicure. Use the pediegg on dry feet. Fill your basin with a 50/50 solution of hot/warm water and Listerine. Just enough to cover your feet. Soak for about 20 minutes. Remove your foot and vigorously rub your foot with one of the dry wash cloths, be sure not to miss between your toes. You will notice that the dry skin starts to rub off. If you have a pumice stone you can use that on the areas that appear to still need a little extra work. Use the heel to toe foot scrub with your pumice stone and you will notice that it makes your feet even smoother. As a licensed Cosmetologist I have tried so many different products. I have found that there are some things that even with a well known name attached don't work like you would think they should. I also fell in love with Gold bonds foot softening cream or their diabetic foot cream. Repeat the steps I've suggested on your other foot. If you do suffer from diabetes don't make your water too hot. The other thing about diabetics is they/you need to keep a close eye on your feet so you don't end up with sores. The yellow Listerine was used way back when it was first created on a multitude of things. It has been known to help clear up athletes foot and nail fungus. |
Have a great week femme sisters!!!!

i ordered a fake ring from Amazon as soon as i realized i had hurt mine and it came in the mail this morning. it is laughably fake and ENORMOUS and was chosen strictly for its $18.00 price tag https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....fL._UY395_.jpg :superfunny: |
Oh no. I hope your ring comes home from the hospital early.
I'm hanging in there. Recovering from some medical stuff last week but it was back to work full time yesterday so I'm a little tuckered out. But also feeling better. :) Happy Tuesday!:sushi: |
