Hearing from my oldest and his gf on conference call this morning. At first I didn't realize what was happening because it's been forever since I received one. Also I thought they'd already be on the road heading to see her parents for Thanksgiving. Since all of her relatives live out of town we've now got to figure out we're going to divide up the holidays. Anyhow not expecting to hear from them until they got back their morning call was a pleasant surprise.

Receiving a care package from my mom of my Christmas ornaments I collected growing up. A good half are missing but I have many from my youngest years, and ones gifted by family, so it makes my heart happy <3

Bringing home my very unique, small wood stove that has an oven built in (doors on both sides...no need to build a Cob Pizza Oven now) and 4 burners on top. It's very cute and an awesome conversation piece.

The fur babies are finally playing with the toy I bought for them last night. It lights up!
Breakfast was warm and yummy on this chilly morning. It's not raining right now. I won't drown on the way to work after all! It's Monday but it's really my Thursday. I have a bunch of new work pants for very little money. Always awesome. My cough is continuing to get better and better. Not gone yet but 40-50 coughs a day is far better than over 100. Improvement is a good thing! Before bed, I got tons of snuggles from Loki and this morning, Gracie kept asking for love in the cute way that she does. Super adorable and Loki has been cracking me up, running around and playing with his Q-tip. They are so good right now! |
Rolling over on the couch, opening my eyes and finding myself staring right into the Christmas tree. It looks even better now that the branches have relaxed than it did when I first put it up. Now the fun part – decorating! :smileyXmasTree:

On the return trip to purchase my roomie's new 4×8 trailer, on a rainy cold day, we found an architectural salvage yard FULL of treasures!! My happy place.
The 2 young men that were helping me were worried I was almost barefoot in my sandals. What are the chances that these 2 were from my hometown? We had a delightful chat about home and they chuckled as I told them that they should know us tough girls from back home love going barefoot (as I navigated mud puddles and bundles, piles or sheds full of building materials as they tried to keep up with me). We had to jump a small creek to get to the cast iron tubs and stacks of new windows. They hovered over my every step as if they were walking their grandma to church, and listened to everything on my wish list. Then they found me the PERFECT, large, crank out, insulated, double pane window with an easy pop out screen for my workshop. It's about the size of a door and made me so excited to find it for less than 90$. They found me other treasures that I have to go back for. They might be able to get my beadboard and other lumber for cheap. Another happy dance! |

My co-worker and her boyfriend coming over to teach us how to play poker. My work holiday party is next Friday and will involve poker so I wanted to learn! :)
