He was surprised that mine lasted as long as it did. I am so bummed. I just have no need for anything but what I call a "regular" phone. Since my contract was up I was given $50 towards a new phone. If I bought the IPhone SPECIFICALLY, I would get $100 back (after sending my old phone in). AND since I was getting the phone after the expired contract date the cost of the phone was lower to begin with. Plus, with switching to an Iphone I was actually going to be paying $10 less a month for all the "regular phone" services. When all is said and done, I got a $650 phone for $50 and will be paying $10 less a month for the same services. I guess that is not too shabby. (but I still wish my old phone hadn't died). |

At all... But then, she does the same with her plush toys... While he's stashing, she's exploring my dufflebag and I see she's very persistent with something. I had to peek, and saw the small pack of saltine crackers..They don't have salt. So, I placed her on the bed, and put the bag there, just to see what happens.. She wrestles with the opened end, dragging a cracker out, proudly carrying it a short ways from me, and bites into it....It looked almost comical. Once she was done chewing that bite, however, she left the cracker, and dived for another.. :blink: "Oh, uh-uh...no ya don't...waste not want not..finish the cracker, toots..." I placed her right back with said half-chewed cracker, she seemed to grudgingly eat the rest...I left the bag near her, figuring she'd grab another.. Checking on Tehtoh, who seemed too quiet {he was investigating inside my boot, his butt was peeking out with the tail waggling randomly}, I spot out of the corner of my eye that she's carefully draggin' the entire sleeve of crackers, evidently she jumped off the bed with it..."Drop it!!".. she ran with the remnant crackers.. briefly... The pack of crackers started spilling, she kept pausing and leaving a small trail of random 1 or 2 in her wake, I didn't do anything...this was hilarious to watch..... She eventually gave up on the "Crinkly" bag, grabbed 1 and hop/ran off as fast as her big furry tush let her..... |

Sept 11th Memorial's
I acknowledge I am NOT the only person that survived the downfall of the World Trade Center, since I left the area prior to the second plane attacking Tower II. However, I wrote some words earlier on my Facebook page but feel so strongling about what I said, I feel a need to repeat myself. Please bear with me while my thoughts ramble:

Starbucks anyone?
I am having a great day off! Got my hair cut, visted some old work friends at Victorias Secret, and put a little dent in the VS card while there, found a great pair of jeans, and I ventured into a Starbucks today for the first time in about 3 years. I was feeling a Chocolate Chip Blended Creme. Just as good as I remembered it.
No calls from work so far. The weather is crisp and chilled. I'm in love with the skirt I have on. I made it a few years ago from some old vintage fabric my mom had. It's long and flowy and it makes me feel free :) Such a happy girl right now. To bad days off are few and far between. |
There must be a vintage car show in Kansas city this weekend. I'm getting a free preview as scores of them pass me in their travels. I love days like this !

know this seems a little strange, but...this website has an interactive deck of cards where you can click thru the cards and clarify your end-of-life desires. Yeah, yeah, I know that sounds strange, but some of us are getting near there and it's a good thing to do with your parents, too. This kind of came up on another thread and it helps to have an idea of this stuff before you need to. |

In the world of "sometimes karma entertains me"......
For various reasons I was googling my baby-daddy today. He's a Sr and there is a Jr. Well who pops up in google under one of those sex offender links? Jr. This is the same Jr that got dishonorably discharged from the military over a "misunderstanding" about a stolen military computer. Wonder who "misunderstood" his child molestation? Three times. So here's where the karma kinda comes in......hmmmm my son, that Sr couldn't be occupied to meet or interact with more than twice in 16 years, graduated early with honors and is doing great in college. Hmmmmmmm You reap what you sow you self-serving bastard. |
