I really enjoyed this project! Such a different venue!! Sends positive crafting juju/energy to all those who are having challenges. You can do it!!! |
FANTASY CREATURES........OMG. What awesome ones I received yesterday.....(back note...I was out of state for a couple months, so I asked wrangler to hold mine that long for me.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED everyone of them, and you all outdid yourselves. I help each, smiled., read descriptions over & over.......such pure joy & beauty in these. I will cherish them a very long time. This is one of the many reasons I LOVE this group so much!! Thanks to all who participated. |
That very thought has made its way into a couple of my boards! lol :p

For me it's been difficultcoming up with pictures. The words were easy, I have all kinds of bits of chopped up word pieces but pictures what a stymie. Anyhow I think I've finally have enough of both to pull something together here. I'm separating the cut outs into piles now, one for each person, and starting assembly tomorrow.

Mums is right! I took last Friday off to work on em
and then Saturday too... and then Sunday too... I'm still not done! lol

I started to get overwhelmed with TOO MANY OPTIONS for representations of each person's vision
narrow... narrow... narrow... down the photo options. And def start marrying pics to persons and/or to whatever they're being attached. :)

What?! I didn't know there was a tag-team option! :p

I'm still having a hard time with images. I don't have a printer so I can't print them up. It's like the luck of the draw if I find an appropriate image. My pieces might be more like word art even though it's a "vision" board.
|
My printer is fine for black and white but not the best for color. I could have went to the library, used one of their computers, copiers, printers but that could get kind of spendy. We got a bit of a break in the weather so I was able to make it to a secondhand store where they sell magazines for 10 cents a piece. Our libraries sell books and magazines pulled from circulation but the one closest was closed due to poor weather. The main library was open but it's a bit hilly to get there, J's car is a 4 cylinder without a lot of oomph. Most people probably have most of their cut outs by now, but for next time if this project or a similar one comes up it's something to think about. Anyhow I have my images cut, sorted, mapped out, and I'm in the sticking them to the background stage part of the process. I'm having a lot of fun with this project. :)

For those of us who are still plugging away, here are some images of vision boards for inspiration. There are a ton of interpretations for a lot of the same categories so there's plenty of options to go 'round.
|
FYI
One of our participants will not be able to receive her visions.....do you each want your piece made for her, back?
PM nan privately if so, please! Thanks |
Who? I'm still working on them and I might not have finished their's yet.
|
Yes, I haven't glued any of my boards yet so I'd rather not make an extra I don't need to.

Ditto.
Plus she'll need to note her time out for 6 months. |

She just is no longer here, no way to contact her, so no need to make her one, if haven't already |

Nanners, please send the one I made for her to Clay because they had very similar themes. I wish to gift it to Clay. Thank you.
|
nanners I tried to send you a private message but system won't let me it says your mailbox is too full.
|
Yes, my PM box is full. My apologies, I need to pay my membership but am having a hard time coming up with the $100...so please email me at nanners45@msn.com.
|
I'm finishing mine up today and should have them in the mail tomorrow. Now that most of mine are done, stepping back and taking a look, I see they've turned out more like busy collage work than the examples of vision boards I'm seeing online. But I will meet deadline so there's that.
