FANTASY CREATURES........OMG. What awesome ones I received yesterday.....(back note...I was out of state for a couple months, so I asked wrangler to hold mine that long for me.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED everyone of them, and you all outdid yourselves. I help each, smiled., read descriptions over & over.......such pure joy & beauty in these. I will cherish them a very long time.

This is one of the many reasons I LOVE this group so much!!

Thanks to all who participated.

Lyte 02-12-2019 06:00 PM

That very thought has made its way into a couple of my boards! lol :p

I'm trying, I'm trying! I know each of the words phrases and pictures belongs to one of you they just haven't totally organized themselves out of the pile yet.

No pressure here, just a gentle reminder that the "in Nanner's hands" date is Saturday, March 2nd, with a grace period of one week ending Saturday, March 9th.

How is everyone doing?

I'd like to mention that 3 people have gotten their projects to me, and you 3 absolutely nailed it....I am so impressed with the work that is coming in!!

NYCfem, I believe that this is the best work I have ever seen from you!
Clay, very nice work, I like the back sides too, they are very special.
Butchie's Mabel, you did a wonderful job on your first project with us, and i do hope you'll continue to participate!

I'm kind of in the same place CCB is in. I have a lot of pictures but no real plans for most of them. I have the day off Monday and I'm going to try to focus on it then.

Yeah, I'm struggling a little bit but plan on taking some time this weekend to try and get something going.

lol@Lyte! Not really. This was such a fun, cool, and relatively easy project, we did ours in 2 sittings last weekend.

I am sure others' will be great pieces also!!

Pssstt...Lyte....want I do yours.....a buck 3 for each one...lol shhhhh...mums the word!

candy_coated_bitch 02-17-2019 09:10 PM

Ok, I'm officially getting into trouble with this. Those of you who completed the project easily, do you have any advice???

CCB...we got a huge stack of magazines, cut words, letters, etc & pics we liked that depicted others' visions, then made sorts of "collages"......Butchie's Mabel did a really great job on hers...she nailed them. We spent about 10 hours over 2 days, perusing pics, cutting, etc...then put them all together.

Good luck, CCB. YOU can do this!!! :)

Thanks, clay. That's basically what I'm doing but the words and images just aren't gelling or making it to the boards yet. I will keep at it.

FireSignFemme 02-18-2019 01:56 AM

For me it's been difficultcoming up with pictures. The words were easy, I have all kinds of bits of chopped up word pieces but pictures – what a stymie. Anyhow I think I've finally have enough of both to pull something together here. I'm separating the cut outs into piles now, one for each person, and starting assembly tomorrow.

It sounds like you're good now but if anything pops up that you need, go to Google and put whatever you're looking for in the seatch line followed by images and you'll have all kinds of pictures to print out and use.

Lyte 02-18-2019 06:24 PM

Mums is right! I took last Friday off to work on em … and then Saturday too... and then Sunday too... I'm still not done! lol

I started to get overwhelmed with TOO MANY OPTIONS for representations of each person's vision … narrow... narrow... narrow... down the photo options. And def start marrying pics to persons and/or to whatever they're being attached. :)

What?! I didn't know there was a tag-team option! :p

That's exactly where I am in this project. I didn't get as far as I wanted today, but I do have separate piles now, and I think I have enough pieces.

candy_coated_bitch 02-20-2019 10:44 AM

I'm still having a hard time with images. I don't have a printer so I can't print them up. It's like the luck of the draw if I find an appropriate image. My pieces might be more like word art even though it's a "vision" board.

FireSignFemme 02-20-2019 01:09 PM

My printer is fine for black and white but not the best for color. I could have went to the library, used one of their computers, copiers, printers but that could get kind of spendy. We got a bit of a break in the weather so I was able to make it to a secondhand store where they sell magazines for 10 cents a piece. Our libraries sell books and magazines pulled from circulation but the one closest was closed due to poor weather. The main library was open but it's a bit hilly to get there, J's car is a 4 cylinder without a lot of oomph. Most people probably have most of their cut outs by now, but for next time if this project or a similar one comes up it's something to think about. Anyhow I have my images cut, sorted, mapped out, and I'm in the sticking them to the background stage part of the process. I'm having a lot of fun with this project. :)

I think it helps to think outside the box. There were some people where I had the same interests as them and found a plethora of items for their vision board, and then there were a few who I struggled with. I had this "aha" moment for one where I realized I didn't need to be so concrete about finding an exact image and instead could think more abstractly while combining images and words.

Gemme 02-20-2019 06:55 PM

For those of us who are still plugging away, here are some images of vision boards for inspiration. There are a ton of interpretations for a lot of the same categories so there's plenty of options to go 'round.

clay 02-21-2019 10:11 PM

FYI

One of our participants will not be able to receive her visions.....do you each want your piece made for her, back?

PM nan privately if so, please! Thanks

FireSignFemme 02-22-2019 06:16 AM

Who? I'm still working on them and I might not have finished their's yet.

candy_coated_bitch 02-22-2019 08:22 AM

Yes, I haven't glued any of my boards yet so I'd rather not make an extra I don't need to.

Me either. No hard feelings, but ... I'd rather not make one if I'm just going to get it sent back to me.

Gemme 02-22-2019 08:51 PM

Ditto.

Plus she'll need to note her time out for 6 months.

Just some FYI....she got her projects for all of you in on time, same as mine. So, why would she need to be on 6 months time out?

She just is no longer here, no way to contact her, so no need to make her one, if haven't already

Okay. I misunderstood what you were saying. At the risk of being wrong again, is it Butchie's Mabel that we're talking about? I think everyone else is accounted for.

Yes. So if you haven’t made hers you can refrain if you wish. Those that have can decide how to handle it how they wish.

nycfem 02-23-2019 10:25 AM

Nanners, please send the one I made for her to Clay because they had very similar themes. I wish to gift it to Clay. Thank you.

FireSignFemme 02-23-2019 12:31 PM

nanners I tried to send you a private message but system won't let me it says your mailbox is too full.

nanners 02-23-2019 04:17 PM

Yes, my PM box is full. My apologies, I need to pay my membership but am having a hard time coming up with the $100...so please email me at nanners45@msn.com.

FireSignFemme 02-24-2019 10:58 AM

I'm finishing mine up today and should have them in the mail tomorrow. Now that most of mine are done, stepping back and taking a look, I see they've turned out more like busy collage work than the examples of vision boards I'm seeing online. But I will meet deadline so there's that.
