You're right Jesse, it's not very safe for us. If it wasn't for this community I wouldn't have realized there were so many like myself. I wouldn't have found the courage to assume a male name and ID in the real world. I have some friends who are totally accepting and some I will probably lose, I guess they never really were friends to begin with. It's gratifying to get one step closer to happiness though. |

Here is a link to a story on Robert Eads, a transgender male, and his struggle with ovarian cancer and not being able to get quality healthcare. He lives in a small town in rural Georgia.
