My cats eat pea soup.
I'm learning something new every day.

The pea soup originally had ham and potatoes in it.
By the time I put down the bowl, the only thing left was the soup.
My girl cat was always a picky eater and rarely ever ate table food.
She's very old now and has changed a lot of her ways. She surprises me every day with the things she does. LOL
(But she's still as cute as the kitten I brought home 17 years ago).

I gave the dog at work some carrots not too long ago. I wonder if she pooped orange.

I used to have a cat named Ebony (the cutest little kitten on the planet), and she used to play fetch with me. She would jump up on the bed with her little ball in her mouth and drop it in front of me. She would then jump off the bed and stand in position, anticipating the throw.

That cat would play fetch for HOURS and I mean HOURS. There was no tiring her out or boring her.

God I miss her.

She was given to me by one of the guys I used to work with. He came in to my office, placed her gently in my mail slot (it was a pretty big mail slot, but she was as small as a minute so she had plenty of room).... knowing that even though I didn't need another cat, I would end up taking her home. (He found her on the streets of Newark somewhere and brought her all the way to Hoboken, lol). What a guy.

When I get a kitten again, she'll be a Scottish Fold. I heard they raise them in Georgia. Their ears fold naturally, they are even tempered and love children.
The breed is short and long haired.

I'll name her Hildy.

Why is it that every time I turn on my television I have to change the channel to BET or UPN to find someone who looks like me. Why is it that if I speak well I am “talking white”. While on that note why is it if I speak well some asshole (usually old and white) tells me that I “speak so well”. What does that even mean. It is almost like I am some kind of mentally challenged person that was never supposed to learn proper English, and above all odds did and now must be praised like a trained animal. What the fuck. Why is it when people find out I voted for Barack Obama they assume it was because of his race not because of his policies. Why do people ask me generalized questions like “do all black people like chicken” like I am some kind of ambassador for my race. Why is it so hard to have a civilized conversation about race and racism in America with people not of my ethnic background. Why do most black and Latina dolls look just like the white ones but with darker skin. Why are most black women in the media fair skinned with light eyes, and light colored (if not blonde) hair. Wait and why the fuck is Beyonce getting lighter and lighter with every damn commercial she shoots. Where did the “passé Blanc” misconception start. Why are we as human beings still segregating ourselves from one another. Why is it ok for a black man to date a white woman but God forbid a Black woman show interest in a white man. When did it become cool to adopt “designer” African babies only to show them off for pictures then leave the nannies to raise them. Why is it that when black folks get some money they don’t better their communities, or give it to historically black colleges. Why are there still historically black colleges? I mean I understand their original need but now what’s the point. The reality is the world is not segregated and therefore your education shouldn’t be either. Speaking of education why is the education so bad in urban areas. Why are the majority of athletes’ black, but the majority of college graduates not. Why is my hair a topic of discussion. You wouldn’t blurt out who dyed their hair to cover their grey, so why would you blurt out who wore a weave, wig, or natural hair.
