I remember as a kid, eighty dollars worth of groceries would be bags upon bags of food!

Now I'm thinking you could prolly carry it out now in one or two!

That's about all it was too, because I wasn't at the 'cheap store'.

Fun with Gadgets!

I bought a new Japanese Nagura Stone #8000 for sharpening my multitude of knives. My old one is so worn down and thin.

Also this thingamajiggy for hooking up my new Roku to the 2nd (older) television. Hopefully!

I had to get some house necessities but ended up getting a super cute new phone case and a giant soft body pillow to make my bed even more of a vortex than it already is. <3

Orema 09-03-2016 12:03 PM

A pink and white Made In Detroit tee-shirt that I'm gonna wear with my jeans to the jazz festival in a couple hours.

Thrift Store Treasures

3 large pillar candles only $1.00 each (oh happy day!)

Cute lime green suit jacket $4.00 (bam!)

"Mink" lined burgundy velvet throw/tree skirt/chair cover ($8.00)

Tucked away and waiting for gutting and eye removal are several stuffed animals ($2.00 total) for the houndies. If I don't take the stuffing out, they will strew it all over (its shocking how much stuffing one little stuffed animal has)

Gayandgray 09-03-2016 03:31 PM

Gemme 09-03-2016 07:26 PM

Entirely too much!!!! It started out reasonably enough at the nail salon then went downhill from there at the cell store, thrift store, bookstore, 3 craft stores then the movies and the mart of Wal. All while battling last weekend of the summer traffic.

I do have to say that I did pick up a lovely small hourglass figurine that is functional and fun.

I was doomed from the beginning!

May I ask which three craft stores?
