Sign ups are now CLOSED. The list as it stands:
1) CCB 2) clay 3) nycfem 4) nanners So make a total of three matchboxes, one for each participant. Due August 19th with a one week grace period of August 26th. They MUST be in my hands by then or your matchboxes will become cat toys. Any questions, just ask. |
How's it going with the matchboxes??? I've got my color scheme and my matchboxes are ready. Starting to collect little treats.
It's been very quiet in here so I hope folks are doing ok! |
FINALLY got my boxes today..came from England...:(. Mine will be done over weekend & in mail Monday. I have surgery next Thursday, so want mine out early. I had HOPED to have them done & to you already BUT postal shipping did NOT cooperate...:(
|
Hey, CCB, mine are done, and please remind me to give them to you when you visit this weekend. I spent lots of time paying close attention to making every tiny little space count. Working small is always a challenge, but one I love!

We have a little bit over two weeks until matchboxes are due on Monday, August 19th. Three weekends between now and then and you have a grace period of one week until Monday, August 26th.
1) CCB 2) clay 3) nycfem -- RECEIVED 4) nanners You guys, nycfem knocked this out of the park!!!! Do your best work!! |
Mine will go out Monday...:)

Matchboxes are due Monday. Nanners could you check in? I'm still working on mine but will come in under the wire.
We have a grace period until the 26th of August. My sister is being induced that day so it will be a VERY busy week for me but will get the matchboxes out before the week is up. |
Matchboxes are officially due today. Nanners, I still haven't heard from you. You have a one week grace period at this point.
I myself am not finished but I should pull it together today or tomorrow. |
Mine are officially done. I will mail them out priority mail tomorrow. You should have them by Thursday or Friday. CCB, Can you PM or text me your address?
|
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, nanners! But you got in touch with me. :)
|
1) CCB - DONE
2) clay - RECEIVED 3) nycfem - RECEIVED 4) nanners - RECEIVED They will go out sometime within a week of Monday. Please be patient with me as my family is hugely busy right now. But I won't let it go more than a week. |
Packages will go out Tuesday. I know it's a day outside of my week as Wrangler but it's been a roller coaster of a ride this past week and I hope you can forgive me. I'm not sure what that means for the rules, but if I have to sit out I will. They're ready to go out I just can't make it on Monday.

Take care. Thanks, CCB! |

The next 2 weeks are crazy busy for me... so after we get our matchboxes from CCB, would anyone be interested in doing an inchie or twinchie project? Or does someone have another idea?
|
I might be open to a small project.

I'm always in for inchies or twinchies!
Also, I am just stating for the record I am NEVER using "kraft" matchboxes again. They are so flimsy. I prefer the real thing. |
Matchbox packages went out today! I will text you all your tracking numbers when I get home.
clay, your package may be delayed because of the weather. Hope you're fairing ok! |
I’ll post my inchie/twinche project in a couple days if that’s ok with everyone.

Twinchies
New Project
Project: Twinchies Theme: Fall (which includes but is not limited to Halloween, Thanksgiving) Sign up: September 5-11, 2019 Deadline: October 11, 2019 in my paws, grace period is from Oct. 12-18, 2019 after that they are on the floor as cat toys and shredded by my cats. Requirements: You must make one for each participant not including yourself. Size must be 2” X 2”. No exceptions. Please put who you want the twinchie to go to and your name on the back of each one. Materials: Card Stock or other paper, markers, other things (please keep relatively FLAT). No glitter or scents. Fee: $5 to be included with your projects for wrangler. SIGN UP: 1) Nanners 2) clay 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) RULES AS AGREED UPON TO BE ADDED AT THE END OF EACH PROJECT: "For 2019, the rule is if one of our projects is received by the wrangler more than seven days after the due date, or one of us drops out of a project for whatever reason, that person is welcome to continue posting but is not allowed to sign up for a group project again until six months from the latest date that the project was supposed to be due. No exceptions. This rule applies to participants and to wranglers. Wranglers must mail out projects within one week of the latest date that the projects were supposed to be due. In addition to waiting six months before being able to join a penpal project, the person who has not met the latest deadline must post directly on the penpal thread within a week of missing the latest deadline stating that they have not adhered to the deadline (reason is welcome to be included or does not have to be) and, most importantly, the date on which they will be able to return to participating in the penpal projects. They must scroll back and add themselves to the bottom of the list of any other participants who have not met the late date for any project for 2018 & 2019. If that is not done, then the member is welcome to participate in the thread with "thanks" and reps and thread chat but not to participate in any future projects for 2019. The reason for this is personal responsibility, so that we have a running record right on the thread that is easy to refer back to when needed. And for the purposes of clarification, if someone drops out before the deadline to sign up has been closed then they are not excluded from future projects because they are still following the rules. Example: Bitsy misses the late date for a project. Within a week of that late date she must scroll down and find the most recent list of people who have missed the late date in 2018 and copy that list to a new post and add herself. Bitsy's post would look something like this: 'Sorry, I had the bird flu and missed the late date of 2/21/18. I can start participating in new projects on 8/21/18. I have added myself to the list below: 1. Tony (missed the late date of 1/28/19, able to participate 7/28/19) 2. Bitsy (missed the late date of 2/21/19, able to participate 8/21/19)' This rule must be posted in its entirety at the bottom of all new projects that are being wrangled so that members can thoughtfully consider whether we wish to commit to a new project." Please if you are currently timed out put yourself on the list and the dates of your time out because I am not responsible for doing that |
