WolfyOne 05-15-2012 04:39 PM

My stomach has been on the fritz for the last few days, so I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and pick up all the ingredients I needs to make a pot of Jewish Penicillin. I added a cup of long grain rice at the beginning because I know rice is easy on the stomach. Just finished a BIG bowl and it was delish :)

Gemme 05-15-2012 04:43 PM

I had a BLT sub with almost all the veggies on it and a soda but that gave me a tummy ache, so now I'm eating ice cream and it's better.

PaPa 05-15-2012 04:45 PM

I simmered chili all day so I had that for supper with some extra sharp cheddar cheese in it and saltines on the side.

bigbutchmistie 05-15-2012 05:46 PM

She really is a genius, but I'm thinking the ice cream would have kept me in a room I had already seen to much of :|

I can't believe how much trouble my stomach has given me for over a week now.
I thought is was coffee doing it, but I didn't have any yesterday when it started. I think I've been fighting the flu bug going around :(

Edited to add, lets call her Genius Gemme from now on or GG for short
I just know how much she'll like that new name

Let's make it Gigi and I'll be good with it.

*grin*

Tonight was another sammich night. I got home late after errands and doing fun stuff and it was quick and easy.

However, dessert will be a warmed pistachio muffin.

Oh, yes. Feel free to be jealous. Green's a good color to be.

Unless you're Wolfy, of course.

JustJo 05-17-2012 05:24 PM

Rooster had requested beef stew a couple days ago...seemed an odd choice in hot weather, but hey...I always take requests. :) I picked up a nice piece of beef shoulder (on sale and super cheap) the other day and wow did it come out nice!

I rolled the beef chunks in a little worcestershire sauce before I rolled it in the seasoned flour (salt, pepper and cumin)....and it came out super tender and flavorful.

Delicious! :chef2:

Cowboi 05-17-2012 05:33 PM
