It's a GORGEOUS day today so I threw all of the windows open and am airing out the house.
Waiting on a delivery because JD is "surprising" me with flowers even though the florist called me this morning and was all "Yeah, we have a surprise flower delivery for you, what time will you be home?" After my vase full of sunshine arrives I am going to strap Bella up and go hit the beautiful walking trail so we can wear ourselves out with some exercise. C is here with her (my adopted!) Brother and we are randomly chit-chatting, nibbling on homemade cookies, and making each other crack up. Washing machine is humming, dishwasher is frothing, sheets and towels are rolling around in the dryer. I have bread dough rising for this evening and my heart feels so happy and complete that I might spin around in circles while shrieking with joy. Behold, wonderful Saturday!:moonstars: |
I haven't gotten dressed yet. It's a pajama day, which feels nice and luxurious. My room is spick and span after an arts and crafts tornado hit it, but now I'm painting so I may undo some of my tidying up, but that's ok. I am happy to be finishing this one off.

I had planned on sleeping in late but Bella had other plans for me! It is going to be beautiful today so I opened the windows and am enjoying my first cup of coffee. Catching up on emails and thinking about my to-do list for today. About to blast some Big Maybelle and start moving ❤️ |
This morning was awesome! I got up, took care of the babies, went to the gym and then stopped into my local Marshall's. Marshall's/HomeGoods/TJMaxx had a promotional event from 8:30-10:30 so I went straight there from the gym. No worries; I didn't get close enough for anyone to get a good sniff. But I did enter to win a free gift card and I WON!!!!
Yay!!! So the fur babies got a new toy and a bigger food container so I can mix the junk food with the healthy food without too much trouble now and I picked up a few small fun items. I got a grinder with a mix of Himalayan sea salt and crushed jalapeno, workout gloves that fit SOOO good, a candle and a massage thingy for my feet and something to help with keeping my back in a neutral position so I don't wreck it when I do floor work at home. It wasn't much but it was an unexpected happy surprise and I needed one of those so I'm absolutely happy about how the morning has gone today. |
Well hello weekend!
i’ve been up for a while, enjoy some community coffee and reading up on the posts. i’m heading to Myrtle Beach for a day trip, so waiting for the sun to come up just little more to hit the road. My little car is in the shop, so i have a fancy rental to use, and a full tank of gas. :carride: Enjoy your day, folks! |

It's been a busy, productive morning. Though cleaning a little here there everywhere might work for some, it hasn't been working for me. So now my focus is on tackling this mess one room at a time - bathroom first. This because it's the room I most hate to clean, but enjoy having clean the most. It didn't look too bad until I started pulling every last stick of everything out. Once it was move out empty, with nothing to distract, I couldn't believe how much there was to do. Since I can only work a little at a time, and tire pretty quickly I think I'm done for the day but who knows I might surprise myself and get a second wind. Realistically though I'm thinking one more half day to finish up and do the floor, then another to wipe off everything I intend to keep and put those things back. Now with the chewy.com order unboxed, those supplies dealt with and the last load of laundry in it's tea time unwind time while Monte the oh so Magnificent naps on the couch at my side. On that garish horrible Christmas print throw I can't wait to pitch, but won't because he loves it so much, but not half as much as I love him.

i hope it is decent enough for you to get out, i think everyone is just over winter. We are having amazing weather here in South Carolina, only the pollen is SO severe, you just cannot handle it for long. i am going to try to wash my car and the thick layer of pollen off of it, and hopefully install front end protector that i bought for it. i just got it painted after someone hit me, and i’d like for it to stay ding free for a little while. i’m currently enjoying my first cup of coffee and i have absolutely no plans! :cheesy: I was up before 6, took care of the babies and was at the gym around 7, home after 8, shower and breakfast with some TV time by 10 and it was off to the craft store. I fought traffic and stopped at the grocery store on the way home. By then it was lunch time and time for afternoon fabulousness. |
It is a beautiful and fabulous Saturday outside... except that it's windy as hell! Acceptable for neither Butch nor beast. So, it's a pizza, flix and chill day. :koolaid:

Art, music, dance....
This is Fringe Festival weekend at my teen's school. She attends a charter school focused on the arts. Last night was a lantern parade around the lake in town and ended up at the school with music and dancing. In a bit we are leaving for the festival. They will have the fine art displays, all types of dancing on an outdoor stage (ballet through hip-hop), band concert, orchestra concert, thespians in one-act plays, creative writers reading poetry and prose and all manner of other lovely art. The weather is gorgeous and it will be a long, but fun day.
However I started my fabulous Saturday as I always do, getting up at the wee dawn hours to sit on my porch, meditate on the abundance of blessings in my life and celebrate Prime. Katniss~~wishing everyone an abundantly blessed day :praying: |
