Your Mama Don't Dance
|
Dang Rebel!
You went all the way out didn't you? That's some awesome Chicago style jams! BTO and Grand Funk Railroad? Nice! Keep Those coming! And yes by the way, Last Dance was the closing song in most clubs back then. Awesome! |
Linda Shear was one of the most prominent Lesbian Feminist musicians in the seventies. She performed in the first Out-Lesbian concert in the U.S.
This is a very special song to me because during a private jam session with Linda (being a musician then), I composed and played a similar melody for her on her piano in Chicago. Somehow, she wove it into this beautiful coming out song. |
This classic tune is as good today as it was back then... I love the wicked little laugh at the end.....mmmm |

there are too many songs, too many moments, too many dreams come true those first years were some of the best days of my life coming out to the world; strong, independent, sexy, ready to live my life on my terms ❤ |

God I love this song...reminds me of all those halter top dresses that swung all sexy while dancing...on the dance floor...at the club... |
