In Washington State, you can't carry a concealed weapon that is over 6 feet in length
"Is that a harpoon in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

In Virginia, chickens cannot lay eggs before 8:00 a.m., and must be done before 4:00 p.m
Wow. Do you plug the chickens to make them stop or...

In Memphis, Tennessee, a woman is not to drive a car unless a man warns approaching motorists or pedestrians by walking in front of the car that is being driven.
This makes it easier for the woman to run over the man.

and I will close this with saying GO FORGETFUL SQUIRRELS!! with this FYI:

It is estimated that millions of trees in the world are accidentally planted by squirrels who bury nuts and then forget where they hid them!

There is a law from a couple of hundred years back still in effect here in the UK
It states that on one day of the year in a town in Yorkshire, an English gentleman can say one sentence (forgive me, I was told this many years ago and was stoned at the time so I can't remember specifics...), after saying this sentence he can then legally kill a Scotsman with a crossbow! :runforhills:

If a pregnant woman needs a pee, she can ask a policeman to use his helmet and he/she legally has to hand it over :bobby:

There's more archaic laws still in effect here, but I'll have to come back when I've remembered more of them!

Big enough to fit on one's head, which is plenty big enough to tinkle in.

But...think about how they will have to clean it. There's fabric in there and padding. Dry clean?

*shrug*

A :bobby: helmet is big enough ...
And from what I can remember, there's no fabric in there, just a few straps so it can be more firmly attached, but remember, these are pretty archaic laws! I've never known of a pregnant woman actually asking to do this in recent times...

By 1810, Beethoven was complete deaf. Though he stopped performing, he still composed. He would shred the strings of the piano from banging so hard on the keys in order to hear. He finally took the legs off of one piano, so that he could feel the vibrations of the piano on the wood floor.

Earth was originally born as a twin to the planet Theia, which was about half as wide as Earth and roughly the size of Mars. The two planets shared an orbit for several million years until they collided. Earth absorbed Theia, and the remaining debris eventually coagulated into Earth’s moon. The mass donated by Theia gave Earth the gravity necessary to sustain a substantial atmosphere

Interesting...
