Love Actually- absolutely adore it. I have watched it so many times and never get tired of it.

All I want for Christmas is you, is also on my IPhone. Listen to it year-round:)

For totally bad taste but funny: Bad Santa. Cracks me up.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" The cartoon one. I watch it ...
Well let's just say more then once every year and sing with the music every time. Ha Ha
I do like the one Jim Carey was in as well and the little girl who sang that
song just brought tears to my eyes.
What was the name of that song again? Ha Ha Ha

Scrooge: The Musical with Albert Finny in the title role and Alec Guinness as the ghost Marley. Watch the clip and see the excellent Guinness and his ghostly manner.

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation - my dad and I would watch it every year after Thanksgiving dinner, and then once a week until christmas eve...then all day christmas eve. I miss hearing him laugh before the funny part would even happen bc he knew what was coming :)

"jack frost" (1979)

Amber2010 12-10-2012 02:47 PM

I know this Christmas show is a kid one and I guess not a movie but I just love "Dr Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas" I stop everything to watch it when it comes on. Can't help myself. :)
I am with Miss Scarlett though since I just adore Chevy Chase in "Christmas Vacation" I still can't believe his wife and how she sticks by him through everything. hahaha
Sparky there can sure get into a ton of trouble huh????

macele 12-10-2012 02:54 PM

pre teens, i always looked forward to frosty the snowman, rudolf the red-nosed reindeer, a charlie brown christmas. i still love watching. as i got older, the christmas story!

"you'll shoot your eye out!"

"fra-gee-lay. that must be italian."

"sons of bitches papa says!"

"some men are baptists, others catholics. my father was an oldsmobile man."

and so on.

now, i am just lovin' the polar express! o my, if you haven't seen, ... it's worth all the hot chocolate, ... hot hot hot!

at dollywood, they have the 4 D ride of the polar express. loved it!

Yes, agreed!! The original Miracle on 34th Street... Owned and watched even when it's not Christmas!! :D

Jrio91 12-11-2012 03:55 AM

Favorite Christmas movie?

That is SUCH a hard decision. I love them all! Rudolph, Frosty, The Grinch, Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf, A Christmas Story, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Love Actually, The Polar Express.

I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty! But like I said, I love them all. Give me some snow falling outside, cozy pajamas, a cup of hot cocoa and ANY of those movies and I'm one very happy girl. :)

Scorp 12-11-2012 06:10 AM

Some of my favorite Christmas movies & Christmas TV Shows are:
  • Scrooge (the 1951 version)
  • The Grinch (w/Jim Carrey)
  • The Polar Express
  • It's A Wonderful Life
  • Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
  • The Little Drummer Boy
  • Santa Claus is Coming To Town
  • The Year Without A Santa Clause

takehimaway 12-11-2012 06:24 AM

The Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue: When an unemployed Detroit man is arrested for a crime he didn't commit, his three children is determined to get him out of jail in time for Christmas and they decide to enlist the help of "the most powerful man in the world" - President Hoover. En route to the White House, they meet an array of colorful characters.

[For some reason, this has always been my favourite. I don't even think it's on TV anymore..]

Ginger 12-11-2012 06:36 AM

Elf, hands down.

Sparkle 12-11-2012 07:47 AM

My personal favorite is 'White Christmas'. My sister and I usually watch it together, it reminds us of our Grampa.

I also love more contemporary films like 'Love, Actually' and 'The Family Stone'

This weekend I have a date with my Best Bear (he is having a particularly tough surgery on Friday and won't be feeling so well this weekend) - his request is that we watch the old kids classics: 'Rudolf', 'Frosty' and his absolute favorite 'Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas'
