Below is a list of what I have and --> HERE <-- is a link to the pics of everything on my FB (I made a special album just for BFP barter :) ).

  • I have 10 decorative folding knives - each one comes in a plastic display case and there is a picture on each knife and its display case depicting: wolves (I have 2 of these), deer (2), eagles (2), a Native American theme (2), a tractor (1), and a patriotic theme (1). Take one, take a few, take them all - to sell, keep/collect, or give away. :)
  • I also have a knife with what looks like a dragon skeleton for a handle - it is 9" overall and comes with a plastic display stand.
  • I have 2 bags of diatomeceous earth - each bag is just over 2lbs. I got this to feed my dogs for flea control, but it was difficult feeding it to them since they eat kibble and a couple of them are pretty damn finicky. lol
  • Next is a Champion professional neoprene knee stabilizer with metal hinged bars. It is a XXL that I got from the VA right around the time of my knee surgery last year. It was a size too big for me, but once I took it home and tried to wear it, the VA wouldnt take it back. The hinges are new because I swapped them out when I got the other knee brace.
  • I also have a shirt I designed for a friend for Pride, but I was sent the wrong size - it is a black t-shirt with "Proud to be a Femme" on it in pink lettering. It's a size small, which the site says is a 30" bust and a 25" length.
  • I also have a Mariners Ichiro jersey that I got as a stadium giveaway (SGA) last summer. They gave away XL jerseys to the first 20K (or whatever) fans and then we all stood in line to swap out for different sizes - I got a XXL.

That's all I got - let me know if anything sounds like something you want to trade for something of yours. :)

Most of the knives are gone - I have 4 left:
  • One of the wolves
  • Both deer
  • The tractor

Morning barter bump. Check out what's here!!:)

mountainbikedyke 07-04-2012 06:33 AM

Stuff

I have bartered for years and love it! I've mainly done it with Jeeps to upgrade in value. :)

Here is what I have and will list in more detail later today:

Quintana Roo road bike (super light). A little small for me- would fit a rider who is 5'8" or shorter.

Two cricket bats plus lots of protective gear and accessories.

Signed football- Titans: Steve McNair autograph plus many others.

High quality landscape tools.

12 gauge shotgun (never fired).

What I'm looking for:

Small John boat.
Specialized mountain bikes (medium).
Fishing gear.
Camping gear.
Things that go BOOM!
10' light weight utility trailer (prefer 4' wide).
Two person kayak.
Hunting lease in the Nashville TN area.

Message me if you're interested.

Thanks! Cool idea!

I would love a shotgun - upcoming zombie apocolypse and all that - but I dont have anything of equal value to barter for it!

There was a guy on Craigslist last week looking to barter - not sell - his 4 long guns and 2 hand guns and I almost called him to trade my bike for them. lol :winky:

Mr Nice Guy 07-05-2012 12:04 PM

Found the barter bump. :)

I wanted to add 2 things to the above (edited) list:
  • Infineon 256MB RAM - pulled from my Compaq computer this morning - nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to add another gig, so it had to come out. :winky:
  • Goggles for riding a motorcycle, dirt bike, ATV, whatever .... they are over sized goggles and were advertised as being large enough to fit over most prescription glasses. The problem is that once you put them on, they smash your glasses to your face, making them unusable for that purpose. But, they are good goggles - they fit snugly, they dont allow wind, debris, etc inside, and they come with interchangeable lenses - smoke (pictured) and clear.

Both items have been added to my FB album of BFP barter items - see link in my quoted post above. :)

i'm loving the barter thread! Are you all shipping things back and forth?

i used to barter fresh shrimp for anything done around my house

i have traded massage services for tattoos

trading is fun!

clay 07-06-2012 07:45 PM

dee...Parker & I are doing our trades that way! I got mine today...grins...

Soft*Silver 07-06-2012 10:42 PM

Now, dont laugh!

I SO want a shot gun...ever since I saw this gal's shot gun, she had it stained and varnished a pretty pink and hung it in the back of her pick up. Well, I have a 350 dually, not "just" a pick up, and damn if I dont want a pink shot gun in the back of it....

Yep - I mailed about 7 knives off to Clay a few days ago and she is going to mail me something she is working on when she is finished. :)

At first, she didnt know if she had anything to trade so I told her if we couldnt think of anything, she could just pay me for the shipping to get them to her bc I just wanted them gone. :winky:

But I LOVE the idea of trading something of mine for something someone made, designed, painted, whatever - something personally from them - so it worked out great. :)

Mr Nice Guy 07-07-2012 02:13 AM

I'm so glad this is working out!! Let's keep it up. I need to find more to barter. I too like trading for something made.

Soft*Silver 07-07-2012 03:40 AM

I wanted a knife.....

SugarFemme 07-07-2012 04:34 AM

I will be moving soon and as a part of the move I will be downsizing. Therefore, I will have many things that were once treasures of mine that can become the treasure of another. I'm not sure what I will be putting up for barter yet, but I do know what I would love to acquire, a handmade quilt. Must be 100% cotton as I have arthritis and a neuromuscular disease that makes me sensitive to things on my skin. So I am in the market for a quilt. As soon as I know what I have for barter, I will post the items here.

I have one wolf, 2 deer, and a tractor knife left - but you never let me know what you have to trade. Whaddya got?

Lady_Di 07-08-2012 08:53 AM

Okay, okay... I admit, these dresses are too dang big on me!! I am giving em away and some of them are rather pretty, too. So if you are a femme, or a butch that likes to cross dress, whatever and you are a person of size, you might be interested.

Twice in the last week I have tried on these dresses, telling myself I can take them in, yadda yadda yadda. But you know what? I remember how bloody hard it was when I was several hundred pounds bigger, getting any clothes at all that could fit. I have already donated a bunch last week, but these are the ones I tried to hold on to for whatever lame ass reason I was telling myself. It is time that someone could actually use these.

PM me if you would like me to send you dresses. 5x-2x, though my sweetie thinks even the 1x is looking ridiculous upon me now. I am willing to let go and let someone else enjoy these dresses, these awesome fabrics. Though I can sew and alter especially dresses with the best of them, I think it would be nicer to let someone of size wear something pretty. Might even help them get a job or something, mebbe just go outside and enjoy a beautiful day feeling good about themselves when so often we people of size have a hard time with such mundanities.

Though I am much smaller today, I will always be a person of size at heart. No matter how much wt you lose, you never lose that.

Mr Nice Guy 07-10-2012 03:11 PM

Thank you Lady Di, for adding your stuff. I'll bump so the Femmes can see what your bartering. :)

Wolfsong 07-12-2012 05:59 AM

Don't Laugh

Halloween is huge here.....the decor competition is fierce!! I am looking for full bodied mannequins and 4 wooden wagon wheels. The wheels need to be load bearing and not simply decorative. Trade or purchase.....I'll pay shipping

thedivahrrrself 07-12-2012 06:13 AM

Subscribing.... Wish I'd seen this before I gave away all my shoes!

Clothes, shoes, and purses (okay, if I had purses) I'm saving for the Femme clothing swap at the Reunion. So if you want to barter for those, you'll have to be there! :D

I cleared out most of my non-essentials last year when I moved into the apartment. But I check here often, you never know when I'd be willing to part with something for say some Nightmare Before Christmas (but not Sally, sorry) stuff.

Wish I could be at the clothing swap, but that's a vacation blackout week at work. :(

mountainbikedyke 07-15-2012 07:10 AM

Help!

If there is anyone in TN, close to Nashville, I'd barter some landscape knowledge and/or labor for some food canning help/education. The garden is producing like crazy and I've given lots away- hate the idea of wasting anything...

Mr Nice Guy 07-16-2012 04:01 PM

Ok it's time to do the Barter bump. :dance1:

Soft*Silver 07-16-2012 09:15 PM

I would - but I would need to see what my choices are so I could pick something out for myself.

Also - I thought you said you didnt have anything in the 3XLT range yet?

Ooo! Ooo!

I have shoes that need new homes, they have only been worn a couple of times, (some pairs may be "pick up, drop off" shoes and I make no claims as to the comfort of such shoes, but they're cuuuuute).

Size 5.5 or 6

thedivahrrrself 07-16-2012 11:17 PM

NOOOOOO! Why am I not your size??? LOL

Maybe I could squeeze into some 6's (I'm 6.5). I do wear a six in some flats, and all tennis shoes...

PM me, please, if they're not already spoken for!

I PM'd you, I think I have a couple pair that are 6.5-ish and are too big for me to comfortably wear. I hope I can find the mysteriously sized vintage Weitzman's... nobody fits in them... they're like Cinderella shoes.

If anyone else is interested in the 5.5 or 6's let me know. I have two pair of cute espadrille-ish type wedges that are nearly brand new, marine blue with stretchy wide straps and a tangerine pair with corded straps and white cording/rope detail on the wedge.

Mr Nice Guy 07-19-2012 02:16 PM

Doing the Barter bump. :)

clay 07-19-2012 10:49 PM

Up for trade: Sprint Blackberry phone...brand new..never activated or used...with two jelly covers...hot pink and black..CD software and manual comes with...phone is the burnt orange color...(I call it an "orangeberry").
Est. value is $150...would like to barter for something of near equal value...what do you have to trade for it????
I would really, really love to have a Kindle Fire....jus' sayin'.
I am amenable to a nice juicer in lieu of...grinz
OR I can use a nice, working laser printer...
Hit me up in a PM
I do not have a way to post any pics...sorry

Mr Nice Guy 07-22-2012 06:03 AM

Ok peeps, we have a lot of good stuff to trade!!
