Saturdays have always been my most favorite day of the week. I think it started when I was young and Saturdays were always the days I could hang out with my Dad. I remember riding all over town on errands in with Dad in his old 1966 Ford Falcon. It was powder blue, with dark blue vinyl seats and interior. I was so small, I could stand up behind the front seat and strain to lean over Dad's shoulder. The transmission shifting was "on the column" and I remember gleefully shouting at my Dad, "Dee (we couldn't say "Daddy", so we called Pop "Dee Dee"), go faster!!!", as Dad would go soaring over the raised cross streets in the historic districts of Savannah, Ga. It was like a roller coaster ride in that little blue car that had tail lights like rocket engines!!! Good, loving times with Pop that would forever seal the bonds of affection and devotion between a doting, loving father and his children. At that time (1970), the Sandpipers popularized the song "Come Saturday Morning", and this song will forever take me back to those Saturdays with Pop.

This morning was cool! I went to a function at my local Marshall's and walked away with a gift card. I found a table that I liked and could use for additional storage but I couldn't get it into my little car so I talked to my coworker about it and she offered up her hatchback. Score!
I got to use my gift card and got a nice table that was already on clearance so it's about 40-45% off of the original price. Nice. The rest of the morning has been spent lazily eating brunch, watching TV and loving on the furbabies. |

I have today off so it is, indeed, fabulous. The very first thing I did was to wish my best friend a very happy birthday. That was followed by physical exertion, food, hygiene and shopping. I opted to celebrate my day on my bestie's day. lol
Now, it's movies, crafting and play time at home, out of the heat. Still fabulous. |

It's still morning somewhere, right? LOL
I woke up and had a badass cup of very good coffee and put in a dozen or so resumés. I am not qualified for about half of them (they want a fucking PhD!) but fuck it, if you don't reach for it you'll never know! Talked with my Mister for a while and started a load of clothes. I'm now having a healthy lunch: a lite wrap with a black bean burger cut up into bites, guac, salsa, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, and a tiny bit of Laughing Cow. Delish! Once I finish up, I'll start back on my giant packing project and hope I don't lose my mind in the process. :seeingstars: |
The most fabulous thing so far? I ACTUALLY slept in past 6:00am. Trust me, it is fabulous at its best around here.

This morning I helped my mom with a few things, ate tostadas for breakfast, and now my silky and I are sitting in the lounger while I plan my week. I teach two Saturdays per month in the summer at the college and today is not one of them. Next I will figure out more of the timeline for my home renovations.

I woke up this morning to video conversation with a beautiful old friend...it was indeed fabulous...I sat with my coffee on the upper deck and took in the sunshine, the bay and the amazing love and light of my friend...My life is pretty beautiful these days, and yes, fabulous!

Well, now that the weather has COOPERATED- I am finally finishing off the deck. Probably have another hour to go and it will be done.
Not sure if that qualifies as fabulousness- but I will feel fab when it is finally done. |
I took care of the babies, went to the gym, had a good breakfast and shower, went to the art festival and am relaxing back at home in the a/c. Fabulous!

Not only was the morning fab, the rest of the day has been as well.. and I am confident that the evening will follow suit. I love days like this. Sometimes they tend to be few and far between with the demanding work days and all that comes with Life in general.
I think I need to start making Saturday (or Sunday) a day like today was at least whatever is in my power to do so. |
Again, another Saturday and not one single thing planned or demanding my attention! It can't get any more fabulous than that in my book!

I just got back from a 2-hour playtime at the dog park with Bella.
Stopped on the way home to wash the car and grab another Starbucks. Now for lazily caching up on chores around the house, doing a little yoga, and working on a few freelance projects. I heart lazy Saturdays! |
My Saturday morning was fab when I first woke up and read my text messages. Then I had a good talk with one of my housemates which kind of started not so fab but ended up being good in the end. The rest of the day has followed along that line. It has been low key- did a bit of grocery shopping- and then spent the rest of the day with the sweetest person I know. I am really looking forward to this coming Saturday as well. It is going to be WAY more than just fabulous.

This morning is fabulous because I've gotten a lot done this week, so today I can rest without feeling like a sluggard. I have no plans for today other than being completely lazy. Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!

It's Sunday Afternoon, in my world, and I just got back from an slow and leisurely drive, after shopping today. It's gorgeous outside.... Fall is in the air, the sunshine is simply decadent and the trees are dressed in their prettiest shades of yellow, orange, reds, and faded greens.
But that's not all I did today.... Ruby Tuesday got her weekly bath this morning (wash and wax, and they helped me with vacuuming the interior). Then she got a full tank of gas. Then after buying skin products, I came upon a fabulous pair of Converse shoes in a pretty vibrant shade of Green (perfect to wear with a couple dressy tops in shades of floral greenery). Sunday Morning shopping and an Sunday Afternoon slow & leisurely drive is what made my Sunday just fabulous! :hk28: |

Saturday Morning!
I worked very late last night and am up, sifting through some emails, and drinking a super large coffee (the first of a few, I'm thinking...).
Stayed in a lovely motel last night, so there's an ocean breeze, the sound of seagulls and the feeling of a beach town after the tourists have rolled out. Back to the city soon enough. |
My fab Saturday morning has been pretty relaxing. Only foray out of the house has been to the grocery.
Other than that- I have a few word docs to complete, and an Amazon order to place. Now if it were a bit less sticky/humid- the day would be wrapped up with a bow. |

Spent the morning doing the Teal Power walk for ovarian cancer. We had a team of five this year. It was very hot. I'm ready for a nap.

Another fabulous and glorious autumn Saturday morning here in the Pacific Northwest!
It will be spent loading up the car and then dropping off donations to a homeless shelter and the American Cancer Discovery Shop over in Silverdale. Before heading out no doubt we'll stop by Borrowed Kitchen Bakery And Farmhouse Cafe for either breakfast or a few goodies to take on our travels! Saturdays don't get any better than this IMHO..... |
Woke up feeling even better than yesterday. Answered some emails. Had a morning phone call. Put a card in the mailbox. Now, just having an expresso and reading the posts on here. So far, so fab.
