Too old to spend...

... hours at a mall!

We had to return or exchange a bunch of things yesterday at a gigantic mall.

We had to shelp a pair of boots; a Christmas gift of an ice cream/frozen yogurt maker (we would never, ever use it)and pajamas.

We had to walk from one end to the other (GF says: come-on, it's good for us).

I felt like I needed a hip replacement afterward. For real.

I will stick to my Amazon Prime and shop at home.

Plus-no parking!

I use to be able to ride anything out there .... even after eating and never EVER got sick lol .....
now .... im lucky i can ride the merry go round LOL

This is the only thing that has changed for me (I am 43). Riding a roller coaster made me a bit dizzy and "thrown off", while on it. I could suppose I could google it to really understand it, but it is something about equilibrium and aging.

Otherwise, nothing has changed. 43 is still pretty young I suppose.

Staying up for over 24hrs at a time, then only getting a few hours in between sleep. Have done that twice this week and I am really feeling it lol.

"clubbing"

And I thought we were crazy

Televised ads blaring from all eight sides of the gasoline pumps. What is happening to this world? Really feeling like a grumpy old person here.

I'm way too old to tolerate "bullsh*t"...although I've never tolerated it but now my threshold is zero, the mere scent of it will have me turn and walk away....

lol.. I might just be at the other end of that spectrum. I'm getting too old to be confident I know what's bullshit and what isn't. I'm becoming increasingly tolerant of other people's foibles, weaknesses and behaviours as I add to the long long list of my own.

LeftWriteFemme 02-01-2014 03:24 PM

Self doubt.....I am far too old for self doubt.

KayCee 02-01-2014 03:32 PM

I'm too old for playing blame games and also way too old to care what others might think about me

willow 02-01-2014 03:54 PM

Although the occasional one still sneaks through, I am too old for regrets. My past is my past. I own it. I try to learn from it and move on.

Red nail polish and lipstick. It used to look good on me. Not any more.

Manual transmission sports cars. This is probably my last one, but I don't look forward to driving anything else.

Snow. Retiring to a cold-climate city like Detroit probably won't happen. Pity.

Cailin 11-24-2014 12:17 PM

long lists, but i'll start with: Spencers/Hot Topic

isn't it interesting the way we age hits us in different ways?!? When it comes to red lipstick, for me it's the only color (I think) looks good on me, but nevermind the nailpolish, I've always preferred clear...

Manual transmissions no matter how pretty the car(alas) can be very impracticable when you live in a hill-filled city (like I do). I'm more interested in fuel economy and comfortable these days.

I save more these days.

What hasn't changed (yet) is the length of my hair. It hasn't changed much since my 20's (long & wavy), here and there when I've tried short hair it was always a disaster:blink:

Some rides at an amusement park.. well except the merry-go-round. I'll never be too old for that.

C0LLETTE 11-24-2014 06:21 PM

I'm not sure but I think I'm too old to shave anyone's initials into my pube.

kittygrrl 12-20-2014 01:45 PM

I hear they are still raving, it was fun, but now I would rather spend a quiet evening at home, listening to classical music with a glass of cranberry juice

I enjoyed reading the responses to this question!
I am definitely too old for drama.
I cannot stay up all night anymore. I used to go to university all day, work until late at night, then go out to a club with my girlfriend at the time and we would stay up all night then get up early to do it all over again. Now I can barely stay up until midnight.
I also remember The Flame, Executive Suite, some dive on Colorado Blvd., Palms, and Club 21.
I cannot do sports like I used to but I give it a good go.

C0LLETTE 01-07-2015 01:34 AM

I'm too old to be up at 2.33 a.m. posting what I'm too old for.

JDeere 01-07-2015 03:21 AM

Dating, again

staying up for longer then 3 days, depends on insomnia level and such
